  11. camping with grandsons. Was supposed to be only over the weekend which is why I did not ask for a hall pass.. However.. Had a car accident right past the Pinconning exit on I-75. Was pullling the camper with my trailblazer and hit some debri in the road with the camper wheel. Was in the left lane. Jackknifed both ways and shot across the right lane and into a big ditch thing like is on the side of expressways. I was in heavy traffic too, as it was around 5 in the afternoon, and was alone in the car since the kids and their moms were joining me later on in the evenning. I was on my way to Tawas Point State Park and hubby was following me to help me set up and then going back home to work. Well anyways, I sure prayed when that camper started throwing itself around! All is well, except nasty sprain of my left wrist.. thought it was broken at first, but nope. The car needs to be fixed but it runs fine and we will take it in probably tomorrow. I hit a mile marker on the way into the ditch. Boy are we thankful for no more problem than that! The camper was fine and the miracle is that no one hit me or I hit no one else when I flew across the traffic, and that my trailblazer did not roll going down into that deep ditch!!! Several cars stopped and people were very shook up because it really looked like the car next to me would not be able to stop and keep from hitting me, and also they all thought my suv would roll. My poor hubby was sooo upset, and here he was right behind me. I scared him to death! Anyways, I just got home today, and It hurts to type, so I will not post a lot for a few days. Glad to be home, thats for sure, and glad for my guardian angels!! Love to all Nell

    Update on Bob

Well, he got a biopsy of his prostate on Wed. and yesterday the urologist who performed the biopsy called and said it showed aggressive cancer, but that it seemed localized still. He took 3 snips. He thinks the bone mets are from the lung. I dont think he has ever had any imaging of his brain, isn't that unusual? Anyhow, now his GP who read the results says he will still be the "Captain" of this situation, and will now send him back to the oncologist, who will probably biopsy the 4rth lumbar and maybe the aortic lymph. Bob is running from one doc to another, and his GP insists he return to him between every visit. The urologist is 100 miles away in Rochester, the surgeon who did his segmentectomy is 50 miles away in Ann Arbor, and the GP and the onc. are in Flint. At first the Rochester Dr. said he wanted to send Bob to his assoc. in the same building for some sort of hormone treatment to try to slow down the prostate cancer, but the GP said no he could administer the shots. I know I am rambling .. just frustrated. The primary doc is a personal friend and Bob and Jo are loyal to him which INFURIATES me. Ah well, we love them and will be there for them no matter what. Please pray for them that they get a good oncologist finally and his treatment gets coordinated.. I WANT TO MOVE BOB TO MN., Dr. Joe.

  18. Hi Joe, We are sooo blessed that you take time to come here. You will find this is a wonderful sight, full of insights to all kinds of things and I think you will enjoy our company and we sure are happy for yours. The idea of the team concept you mentioned would be such a relief for our friend who is a pt. He is indeed being treated by a group of indivuals. One is in Rochester,MI, 2 are in Flint and another at UofM in Ann Arbor,Mi. I don't believe they have ever sat down together and his diagnosis was in Feb. He now has a second primary that they are calling "aggressive prostate cancer", and bone mets, and an aortic lymph met, whatever that is. You sound very dedicated. Thanks for coming here.
