Thanks for the link John, printed the whole article for Bob to read last night. He is at the hospital right now, so I don't know how he is doing yet, and thanks for the prayers, Peggy, and the response, Dr. Joe. It makes me a bit nervous waiting to see how this does for him. Sure am hoping and praying that his pain can be lessened somehow. I will update everyone soon as we hear from him.

Hi David! So good to see you post! Ahhh camping.. We love it!! And the Blue Ridge Parkway this time of year. .. indescribable. I will have to remember to get the required reading next time we go. Praying for your test results and for a truly wonderful camping trip.

Bob is having a biopsy to his 4rth lumbar vertebrae tomorrow morning and the doc who is doing it called and said he will also be doing something called vertebroplasty. It sounds like this is something to strengthen the area. Has anyone had any experience with this procedure. Bob would also like to know if it is a common thing to do at this time. Thanks Love Nell

Hi Beth, That souns reassuring at least. The thing I was thinking is that it also is a decision you could change if the doc and you decided at a later date it would be best to do more treatment, right? And with close monitoring it seems as though you at least have a good chance of knowing how things are. Praying it worked already and that you will have NED!!! Love Nell

David, its great to see you posting and hear you are doing well. I told my hubby the cell phone thing, he wears his on his hip. He says he will remember that for sure lol. Don't overdo now that you are feeling some better!

Thanks for all the warm responses. Yes, Fay , we do live very near Bob and Jo, and I am sure going to suggest that we get copies made that he can take to his appt.s himself. Today he is still feeling very very rough but the good news is a visiting nurse is coming to the house and bringing both Bob and Jo a flu shot. He can't stand in line for hours to get it and his doc is out. What a blessing to have someone come to them with it. Thanks again all of you.

Today Jo called and said Bob is so sick he can't get the biopsy of his spine he needs. His PCP thinks maybe there is an infection, but I am concerned because for the last week he has been very lethargic, pain to his back returning, and his legs are weak. Also the lab has lost all his recent films!! Thanks Love Nell

Well I am sooo glad to see you posting and see that she did at least order tests. Sounds like she is maybe a Stepford Doctor?? I mean terribly skinny and no personality, lol. Maybe she will refer you to someone wonderful after tests. When are those tests anyhow? Glad your hubby went with ya too, is always good to go with someone to these appts I think. Glad you made it through that, sense of humor intact. Love Nell
