I'm sending positive vibes that you are just having a reaction to the treatments and your body is tired. Post radiation stuff. My Mom got really sick to and theres always that fear of it coming back. Hang in there! And try to stay positive. Praying for good health for you for 2005! Laurie

I think that is the "norm"... I have been here for a while and one time we had a survivor of SCLC come on and I believe that they had been in remission for 20 years. 12. Di, I am so glad to hear that your PCI is going so well, what a blessing! So glad to hear it. Alice, My mom was completely exhausted! I think that is the "norm"... Hey I have been here for a while and one time we had a survivor of SCLC come on and I believe that they had been in remission for 20 years. I know it was an extremely long time. I figure that people who aren't actively fighting this disease probably are less likely to be looking for a site like this. But I just wanted to let you know that my Mom is 2 years disease free and she had a huge tumor that had collapsed her lung and they told us twice that she wasn't doing well. Actually they had stopped her chemo because they were giving up when they found out that she was actually in remission! Alot of people don't like that word but I use it because she called up and screamed it at me when I was expecting them to say it was spreading.. I am in remission!!! Praise God things are going well! Hang in there and keep the faith!! Love and best wishes for a good 2005! Laurie
  13. Hi Everyone, Sorry that I have not been posting for so long. Sometimes I think that I have "daughters of a survivor guilt".. I feel so bad that thier are so many people who have lost loved ones here and it just breaks my heart. I don't know what to say and I feel so bad. I try to stay here so that people can see that there are survivors of this disease and to give hope. My Mom has just made it to two years and I'm so scared to jinx it and post this but it is just such a blessing. We had another scare with her last month but it turned out to be nothing. She still gets out of breath and tired but she is doing very well and will be retiring in the next couple of weeks. Some of you know that I am having some health problems of my own and I thankyou for caring about me. I still am having trouble and am thinking about moving back home with my parents for a while untill I can get everything straightened out, and possibly having neurosurgery. I love spending time with my parents and am enjoying it so much. I hate being disabled and my selfesteem seems to be suffering because I can't do the things that I want to do. My parents make me feel so good, like just being me is enough... Thier love is like sunshine to my soul, Even though its absolutely freezing here in NH! Anyway I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Holiday season and a great and healthy new year. Thinking of you all and praying for all of you and your families. Love, Laurie

  17. Hi Everyone, thankyou so much once again for your support. I have talked to Mom twice today and she sounds really sick but my Dad said her temp is down to 100. Everyone is wearing masks in the room??? I said oh why is that? and she said so they don't get sick...???? And she is supposed to be there until Monday. Fay, Thanks so much for asking about me. I'm doing better, I have had some good days and it feels like my spine is supporting itself, I'm not so slumped over and shakey. Before I couldn't really even sit up for more than one hour but now i'm doing well. I'm not sure if it is the supplements, the medication or the exercise, but it sure seems good to get a glimpse of what life used to be like and it seems like a miricale.. if it is prayer please continue because it is really helping. God Bless you, Laurie

  20. Its time like this when it is so hard to be away from my parents. I'm in Arizona and my parents are in New Hampshire. My Dad called last night and said Mom wasn't feeling well, she went to work anyway and came home sick. Dad said she was delirious she hit his truck with her car as she pulled into the driveway. Her fever was 103.4 and she was taken to the hospital, it looks like she has Pneumonia and a bladder or kidney some kind of infection. They are giving her IV antibiotics and she will be staying there until she gets better... I'm going to call her on the phone and talk but I don't have a plane ticket to go back home until Thanksgiving ... it is killing me to be so far away during this. Please pray for my Mom to get better soon. Thank you and God bless you and your loved ones. Laurie
