Mom's WBR did help her 6 brain mets. 2 are gone completely and the other 4 have shrunk considerably and are not in critical places in her brain. She'll have stereotactic radiosurgery in a week to get rid of whatever remains of the 4. Her radiation oncologist seemed really pleased. He said that the WBR did a good job but without the stereotactic radiosurgery, the mets might come back in a year! In one year! No one even said we even had a year. We all know what the stats say, so the fact that he said that made me really feel good. It is good to have positive news for once and it is good to be able to share it with all of you!
