Guest hearrean Posted June 23, 2008 Share Posted June 23, 2008 I haven't posted here in awhile, but wanted to get back active in the forum. The results from my 6/10/08 CT scan were great! The written report doesn't even mention the tumor or nodes. It does talk about some scattered opacities which, after a bronchoscopy they ordered, turned out to be a bacterial infection. But talking with my Oncologist's PA at MD Anderson, she indicates the cancer can no longer even be seen on the CT, although she didn't actually use the words NED. They have scheduled a another PET & MRI Brain scan for 9/5, but at least for now, all looks good!! Ken Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have found that different docs and ct reports say things quite differently. One might say no evidence of disease and the other one is a bit more wishy washy. Same results. Guest hearrean Posted June 23, 2008 Share Posted June 23, 2008 Ned (recce101) had asked me in another thread (which I can't find now) how I made it through the swallowing episodes I was having after about my 3rd week of radiation. There were certainly times when I thought I'd have to have the feeding tube, but I tuffed it out & with the magic throat elixer managed to make it through. The radiation ended 3/16 so I'm pretty much back to what I was prior to my diagnosis. With the exception of being a tad more short of breath which is a result of the radiation, I feel good.
