    Alriiiiiiight, Gail!
  2. Taking care of my wife through lung cancer, being her primary caregiver and advocate. Doing physical work (massage therapist) after retiring from brain work (research chemist). White water rafting with my younger son and a guide. Lucie and I have been to the places we wanted to go as kids, and then some. She wanted to go to Alaska and the Panama Canal. I wanted to go to Australia and Israel. I highly urge any of you who have a dream of going to some particular place, do it! Don
  3. Welcome, Beth! I lived in Detroit 1960-64 (grad student at Wayne State U.) and have been to Kalamazoo. My wife's situation is similar to your mom's, so take heart and hope. Lucie is almost a 3-year survivor now of NSCLC, Stage IV. She has had several recurrences and has responded well to the radiation and chemo treatments. Keep us posted on you and your mom. Don

    Great news, Jorja!
  5. Sunrise. The promise of a new day. Which is better? Fudge or ice cream.
  6. My brother's and sister's families are also in the New Orleans area, so would appreciate prayers for them as well. Don
  7. Day was okay, but I'll still have a frozen margarita.
  8. Well, I guess I'll answer both. No, I don't like thongs and I don't wear pajamas. TPBM likes doughnuts and coffee.
  9. My heartfelt sympathies.
  10. Hip hip hooray for safety glass!
  11. True, but only if I really want to root for one of the teams. TPBM likes chocolate.
  12. I wish you luck in both areas.
  13. I think this is an excellent example of why lay people should not read technical reports. They don't have the background to sort out the details. My two cents. Don
  14. Welcome, Kathleen. Glad you're here. Plenty of hope and support around here. Don
  15. What keeps us going? Why TexMex and Cajun food, of course.
