I have been horrible lately. I was doing wonderful on Atkins had lost 20 lbs feeling great. Then Joel was diagnosed in Dec and it has been down hill for me since then. People bringing all these fatting goodies over during his recovery. That it what started it for me and has been downhill or should I say UPHILL with my weight since then. Off Atkings gained 12 lbs and just cannot stop eating, bread, cake, just stuffing myself. I am so depressed... I hate myself right now. And on top of it all, I just got a letter for our 40th class reunion... HELP.... Maryanne

Hi Lucie & Don, You are two of my favorite people and you both better get well soon. Don I am so glad they caught your problem before it got worse. And Lucie I pray your leg is feeling better by the end of the week. After all they can't keep a good person down!! Looks like you guys are stuck to read posts all week since you can't get out. Well Cynd, I am glad that you decided to share with your friends here, what is really going on with you. I could not tell them as it was not my place. Now its our time to give back to you many prayers to go out exclusively to you. As you see by all these numerous replies, prayers are going out from all over. You must have really done something in your previous life that you are paying some kind of Karma. . But all that is temporary. For every down there is an up. It may be taking its sweet old time to come around. But its on its way... . Look how different you are feeling today compared to a month ago, when you could hardly get out of bed. Now you have motivation and that is why things are going to change. It is happening already, girl, believe it. Since you have asked for help, things will start to change for you. If anyone deserves it, it certainly is YOU as you have been here for everybody. Even though you are a scared pup hiding behind that happy-go-lucky facade of yours. that great personality you have has helped so many of us cope. Thank you for that, and don't ever lose that. That is also part of your recovery, you positive attitude that you show in your post to others comes back to you two fold. Thanks for letting us in, it is time to help Cindi... I have something in mind that will cheer you up, but you will have to check the posts in a couple of days.....hmmm I wonder what that will be Thinking of you and knowing in my heart that you may feel like you are in a dark tunnel, but if you look way down towards the end, there is that light there, and it shines for you. Hi there Beth, Well you certainly did have an eventful day. I am glad things worked out in the end as it certainly did not start out that way. Hi Stacia (Oh, you do have a name ) Well, I just came home, was gone for a day, and I saw your post. I am estastic.....That is fantastic news!! Not LC.... You know, I had a feeling it was not LC as your husband just seemed to young for him to have that. Like everybody else said, TB is not something anyone would want to have unless, of course, they have LC. Sooooo.... at least he has something that is curable. That is such great news Stacia. According to what Katie said you still will have a hull ahead of you but hey... he will get over it and he will be the old Manny again. . Lucky guy... I just don't understand why it took soooooo long to get the diagnosis. They had you so worried. Anyway.... I will meet you at Cindi's pub for a round of drinks. Hi Patti, So sorry to hear about Frank. He seems to be on a roller coaster ride lately. I pray it comes to a halt and he can get off and feel like himself again. Tell him we are all pulling for him to have a safe return as we will all miss him here. He is such a delightful person and will be terribly missed. Tell Connie to hang in there. My heart breaks for all of you. My dad had Parkinsons but lost his life to pnenomnia and I miss him terribly. But he did not suffer like all these people who faught Cancer and lost. I really do feel your pain, as your love ones were so brave. They may have lost the battle but they never gave up the fight. I pray for your grief to lessen as I know your love ones would not want you to suffer so much. They would want you to go on with your life. Just know that one day, you will be with your love one in that beautiful place and it will be a glorious reunion. Peace be with you. Maryanne

Cindi, What supplements are you talking about? Joel is starting his carbo/taxol on the 14th. He was also told he could eat anything, but if his counts go down too low to keep away from fruits and veggies. But he could eat the canned fruit. We hold him that Joels takes a multi-vitamin, (Centum, silver) and he said that was fine. Were you talking about Vitamin supplements? Maryanne

Hi Gail and everyone, It was so encouraging reading about how long you have been C free. It certainly gives us hope as Joel was diagnoised with IB back in Nov. He also had his upper left lobe removed and has just had his 3 month CT scan (NED) He will be starting Chemo carbo/taxol on 4/14. All I can say is Thank G-d this was all caught in an early stage for all of you. Gail, ramble away... you deserve it!! Maryanne

Thanks for updating us, even though it was not much of an update. Real bummer..............!!! They have to find out eventually what the heck it is. Poor guy, I feel so sorry with all that constant coughing. Has he been able to work? Its just so long to find out what is wrong. He should be getting some kind of treatment by now. But I am sure you know that. What I don't understand is you guys waiting for a pathology report for 4 weeks. Did you find out why? Maybe they lost it or something. Something is just not right. Please don't be a stranger, we are here so you can vent. We worry about you both. Hang in there, keep us posted. Prayers for your hubby... Maryanne

Iam so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. Your heart is broken, I can read that, but it will mend in time. Please know that. And also know how much she loves you and would not want you to be grieving for a long period of time. She would not want to see you unhappy, and to go on with your life. At least now she is pain free and at peace. Her diseased physical body has expired but that beautiful soul of hers lives on. She will always live on in all those wonderful memories that you both shared. One day far down the road when it is time for you to pass, she will be there with open arms caressing you and helping your with your transition. Do not feel quilty in any way. This is what your mom wanted, you respected her wishes, and for that she is eternally grateful. Peace be with you. Maryanne

Hi Bill, I am like in total shock. that is incredible news. G-d I pray this is all true and not a mistake. But, if anything at least your wife is feeling better.
