Penny, I'm sorry about your DX, Cancer is a very scary thing.. I don't have Cancer but my Dad did and I know how scared I was with my Dads Dx.. My advice to you is try to stay positive and FIGHT this beast you can win there are so many survivors and you my Friend can be one of them... How is your Husband doing with his Multiple Myeloma? Welcome, I sorry that you have to be here but I'm sure your going to find alot of support here. Your poor Dad truly has been put through alot. I'm so sorry, it's really hard watching the man that gave your comfort your whole life in such a awful way.. This is only my thought but I would talk to other Doctor and see what there feeling are on the risks of radation. My wonderful Dad has Chemo & Radation and the Radation was much worse,they burnt the hell out of his Lungs.. Take care and keep us posted on your Dad!! Love, Michele

I'm so sorry that you and your Family have to deal with this,I know how hard it is and it just stinks.. The loss of my Dad has changed my life forever and I know I'm not the same person anymore but theres nothing I could do to change what happen. So on that note my advice to you would be to spend every chance you get with your Dad and let him know that you Love him.. I hope you find as much comfort here as I do dealing with a loss is just so life altering.. Lossing my Dad just kills me every day he was a great man, he was my Dad, my friend and my safe place.He is where I could go and feel safe and now that all gone because of Lung Cancer.
