    Patti B

This is a message from Patti's son.. Hi everybody, this is Nick. Patti fought for 4 and a half years, roughly 1,680 days exactly. Her only wish was to see me graduate and she was there, I felt like the luckiest kid on stage and I think she felt like the luckiest mom. But around 3a.m. this morning she finally stopped fighting. She won her battle with lung cancer. She accomplished so much and helped so many people. She is truely an inspiration. I have lost one of the best friends. My heart is broken. Christine

  3. Although I have not been on this site in some time, I wanted to just add one thing.... Eileen, sometimes it is not WHAT we are saying it is how it is presented. I do believe that nothing you said was said maliciously, but yet it was probably perceived that way. This is why I am not here anymore. I love the people here very much and I think of them and pray for them each and every day. I never ever meant to hurt anyone on this site but through my desire to help offer support and hope, my words were taken out of context by many here and therefore I have all but left this site. On the main s

  5. Patti I did find that I had to register in order to post a comment but it is a very simple thing and to me, it was worth the few moments it took to do so. Thank you so much for always being such a great source of support. C
  6. As many of you know, Red Sox commentator Jerry Remy has recently made public his battle with lung cancer. This letter to the editor appears in today's Boston Globe and is written by a young woman who lost her Mom to LC recently. I hope you will all take a moment to read the letter and post a comment to it. It's a great way to be heard and show some support for the fight against this disease. Remy's diagnosis brings lung cancer into the open May 9, 2009 Email| Print| Reprints| Yahoo! Buzz| ShareThisText size – + I WANT to commend Jerry Remy for coming forward with his lung cancer diagnosi

I feel it deserves to be noticed and this is the only forum that gets that kind of traffic. Christine. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.' One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages ca

  17. Patti There is ALWAYS someone here to listen and offer you support and hugs! My only thought on the esophageal reflux would be "magic mouthwash" which is a prescription your Dr can give you. It's a simple mixture of lidocaine, benadryl and maaloxx that coats the throat etc and numbs the pain. We had this for my step dad and it DID help.... Sending hugs and prayers to you Christine

  24. Thank you, all, for your kind words and understanding. It really amazes me at times how the little things can just bring it ALL back, ya know? I haven't been on this site much lately, just been working on my own projects and living life I guess. Tonight marks another milestone that Brad would have LOVED.. Tonight will be the first LIVE hockey game for my 10 yr old son. It will be an adventure for sure and I am so excited about it. I know Brad would have been, too and I am sure he will be "there".... Although I am not as active here as I used to be, I still read and I still continue to hold
