  1. Hi and welcome Onlyone, I am so sorry for all that you and your Mom are going through. Your situation is almost the exact same as what I went through in July with my Dad. The waiting and wondering is so very difficult and stressful. My understanding is that there are many stages of of acceptance when it comes to serious health matters. I don't have much in the way of advice as I am still relatively new to this situation myself. I will offer this: If you are uncomfortable with anything the Doctors are telling you, get a second opinion. My very best thoughts and prayers to you and your Mom, Warmest regards, -Rod
  2. Hi and welcome Morgan, I am so sorry for all that you family is going through. Anything thing is beatable, just look at the survivors on this board! I truly believe that the mind can heal the body, combine that with a good treatment plan and I like the odds. I hope and pray that your mother in law regains her strength and will to combat this illness with great success. My best thoughts and wishes to you and your family, -Rod

    Exhausted

Hi Joanie, I'm so sorry you are feeling lousy:( I know my Dad has chronic fatigue from chemo and pills. My limited understanding is this is a very common side effect of many medications. I hope that you feel much better and energized SOON! Warmest regards, -Rod
  7. HI Ellen, Thats wonderful news. Wishing you all continued good health and news. Warmest regards, -Rod
  8. Hello, and welcome Linda, Sorry you need to be here, however, you have found an amazing place to find great advice, care and inspiration from all the wonderful people and survivors on this board. My very best to you, warmest regards, -Rod

  10. I don't know Charlie personally, but If he is in need of prayers and positive thoughts... he's got it !! Thanks Ry, -Rod
  11. Hi Barb, I don't have LC, but I do get this very symptom almost every night of my life when I get into bed. Like you, I went and got many tests done, they all came back clear. I was told it is stress/anxiety and perhaps also caused by indigestion. I will hope and pray that it's nothing more serious, I'm sure that it's not. Best, -Rod

    Special Touch

That is such a beautiful, kind and generous gesture. You should be as proud as everyone with LC should be grateful. My thanks to your daughter, and wishing her the very best for her future, -Rod
  13. Hi Ned, and welcome, I love your attitude, it's very inspiring and it will serve you well through your fight! Sounds to me like you know your own boundries and what your body is capable of in terms of exersice. Walking and some light upper body work seems like a good call. My very best to you and your family, -Rod
  14. Hi Tracy, Wonderful news about your Moms results! Continued good health and happiness to you all, -Rod
  15. Hi and welcome Spirithawk, So sorry for what you are going through. I know every once of worry and anxiety you are enduring. Be assured that there are many successful treatment options available for your Dad. He is extremely young and that will serve him well during his fight. Please ignore numbers and crap on the internet, they mean NOTHING! Most everything I came across while researching my Dads lung cancer was negative. It's out of date and bases solely on large numbers. Your Dad is NOT a number! The only good thing that came out of my searching was this community of amazing people who not only have great knowledge - most of them are survivors! Stay strong and lean on this board for advice and inspiration. I do, and honestly... I would be a disaster without these people. My VERY best to you and your family, -Rod
  16. Hi Barbara, Glad to hear things are going well. My very best to you and your family, -Rod

  21. Hi Sis, My limited understanding (I am also new to this situation) is that there are many options available for chemotherapy and other forms of treatment. I agree 100% with the others. It definitley would seem the Dr. is giving your sister a break to let her system build up again before proceeding with an alternative treatment. Hang in there. Your Sis has youth and good clean living on her side. I will keep you and your Sis in my thoughts and prayers. Warmest regards, -Rod

    New Look

Not that I was calling you "Purple Chris" or anything I just messed up the syntax. I enjoy the colour (Canadian SP) purple, k...now I'm implying the movie and not the actual colour. this has become very confusing. Can I send anyone an fruit-basket to make up for the trouble I have caused?
