Hi Dean Sorry we all have to meet this way, but welcome back. I was in Yuma this past week and as we were coming home on the 8 freeway, we passed Alpine. I thought of you and your post, you are close to Viejas casino. I love the Indian casinos, LOL.... I am glad you are getting answers and will be getting treatment soon. I too was diagnosed with 3a-b in March this year. I just had a second Bronc. 1-1/2 wks ago, Pulmonary doc who diagnosed me in March said after this bronc he can't find the tumor. The tumor was 17cm and had shrunk to 8cm after radiation and chemo in May... Started chemo (Taxol/Carbo) in September and in Oct he can't find the tumor. A miracle has happened and I owe thanks to my Lord for this healing. If you want to talk, you can PM me and I'll share my experiences with you. Don't give up hope, you are a survivor..... Andrea, I get a Nuelasta shot every three weeks when I get my Chemo. Yes, I have experienced pain in my legs and lower back, it is like electrical shocks. It is painful. What I found that works for me is Tylonol Arthritis Pain. Check with your mom's onc. before taking. I am not sure what your mom's chemo is, mine is Taxol/Carbo. My onc warned me that this would happen because the bone marrow is making new white cells. Hope this helps.... God Bless and praying for a "Cure" for all of us.... Karen

Hi All, Yahoo, I finally get to post on good news board. On 10-9 had a broncoscopy per Pulm's request due to pneumonia in September that had not cleared up yet according to x-rays. After bronc (which Pulm did biopsy), he went out and told my husband, well I have good news and bad news. Good news is I can't find the tumor (was 17cmx8x5 originally), shrunk to 8cmx5x3 after radiation and chemo (first round.) Bad news is pnuemonia still there, (I'm still on antibiotics.) Today when I went into Onc. she said that the biopsy came back "NEGATIVE"..... She wants me to finish one more treatment of Taxol/Carbo and then we will do a PET and see what is going on. She also said she wants me to start Taxotere/Carbo as my next treatment. I have a question, if they can't find the tumor and tests came back negative, is it normal to continue treatment? Has anyone else experienced the same thing and had to continue treatment? I truly have to say this is the work of the Lord and I have to give him the glory for healing me. My doctor's were guided on my treatment by my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.... By his Stripes, I am healed. Thank you. God Bless Karen

Tami, You are a survivor and need to get additional tests. Don't give up. I know it is hard to keep going to the doctor, but that is what will help you to stay well. None of us have probably gone to the doctor as much as we have due to this illness. I know I only went about every other year or so. That is why this LC wasn't found earlier.
