The highlight of my weekend was going on a date with a wonderful guy. We have seen each other several times and things are going very well.

There is a wonderful sticky post in the SCLC forum about surviving small cell lung cancer from a survivor. It has some excellent information. Go read it and print it out. I think it is titled, "How I Survived Small Cell Lung Cancer." Welcome. Rochelle -
My husband was given four months and lived well over 5 years -- so first forget that one year prognosis. Almost every member here was given one that was not accurate. Don't get hung up on the word "cure" you can get your cancer stable and live with lung cancer. Please let us know which treatments you've had so we can help. Have they tried you on Tarceva yet? Welcome to the board. I am sorry about your father. Are you sure it isn't vena cava syndrome rather than a reaction to the Tarceva? If his tumor is pressing on the vana cava (the blood vessel to the heart) it will make the face and neck swell. You might want to ask the doctor. Rochelle

No. I haven't changed the one in the kitchen because it requires unscrewing the back to change the time. I still haven't' done my car yet. It's fairly new and I have to look up how to change it.

I collect antiques -- I have so many different things I've started to buy then stopped when I got too many then go on to other things. Right now I am collecting fishing lures made by a certain carver that lived in Michigan.

Hey thanks guys! I am once again 39 (just like Jack Benny)! Did you know this is also square root day? The 3rd day of the 3rd month of 09-- these days only occur nine times per every hundred years-- lucky me it falls today. Jillian asked if she could stay home from school for my birthday-- nice try. Cake is on me!
