  15. This weekend they (hubby's family) decided that going to a hospice was the best solution. Brownie (my FIL) wants it that way. Tom went down and spent the weekend again at his dad's house. This time tho he helped with cleaning and getting things in order. He called last night and talked about all the stories he recalled being with his dad and bro and sis. (10 of them!!) He also got out his dad's gun collection and cleaned them all. I think he said there 20-30 of them! Some were loaded. Good thing he did this and not the others, I don't think any of them were hunters. I think he sounded better last night than the last few weeks. I hope so, he has been in this zombie like state since we found out. The Cancer is in the lung and liver and several other areas. BUT the liver is the one causing all the problems. He is swelling so much, liver toxins building I suppose. No treatment except lasix. Thanks for the support, I can not talk with him about this too much. Hopefully he will be better when he gets home tonight. Love Cindy
  16. My mom had radiation to the brain for her mets to the brain. About a year later is when she had problems. I know if she had not had it done she would not of lived more than 2-3 mos. I decided when I found out about the cancer and mine HAD NOT mets to the brain NOT to have it done. I was going to wait and if it DID spread there we would deal with it then. I think modern medicine has given so many people more time BUT I don't think they know the long term effects on those of us who out live the expected 1-2 yrs. If it happens that mine does mets to the brain I would go with the treatment. God only knows how much time I have and I want to spend what I can here with my family.---BESIDES THAT I DO NOT HAVE GRANDBABIES YET!!!! I really want to be a Grandma before I go on!! Cindy
  17. I just got back this evening from putting the Christmas Headstone piece on my mom's headstone. I change the flowers with the seasons. I have an exchange student now and took him with me. I got to tell him stories about her that I love to tell. You will keep telling those stories, she will live on thru you. Cindy

  22. This is a topic I am glad to see be brought out into the open. So many are told this is the next step. I pray the new ones on here read up on this before allowing the rad. to the brain for small mets or for prvention. Cindy
