Ann Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Do you take life one day at a time or do you find yourself constantly worrying about the future? Quote
ginnyde Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I'm a one day at a time girl. I don't live recklessly because I would like a future BUT today is the only thing I have right now. Quote
ztweb Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I am a known, proclaimed, acclaimed, defined WORRIER! It is terrible! You all have taught me though, that it doesn't get me even one inch ahead! Jen Quote
Kasey Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 You'd think I'd had learned my lesson being part of LCSC about living a day at a time. BUT.........I just can't help myself !!! Yep, I am a worrier, and I HATE admitting it to everyone. Sorry! Kasey Quote
Don Wood Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 One-day-at-a-time kinda guy. But that shouldn't surprise you all. Don Quote

Nick C Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Future future future...and the more I try the less I am able to not worry about it. Quote
Ry Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I'm a C too. With 3 kids I worry about their future, college expenses etc. The Jillinator will be ready for college when I am ready to retire so I have to worry about that just a little bit... Quote
StephanieJane Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I try to live for today, but it's really hard for me. I am a single mom, so I have to think of what Sarah's future will be like and do what I can for her...but I try to at least ENJOY today. So probably "c." Quote
Ann Posted May 2, 2007 Author Posted May 2, 2007 I used to be a "one day at a time" person and rarely worried about anything. Since Dennis died, I seem to worry so much about everything, especially the future. I think because he died at such an early age, I feel as if I am going to do the same. I even worry about what will happen to my animals if something happens to me. I really wish I could go back to that carefree person I used to be but I'm not quite sure how. Any ideas? Quote
dchurchi Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Well being an 18 year member of AA I am one day at a time. even with Alan's cancer, we both have learned to enjoy today. Although I will admit to stress levels rising while waiting for test results, I have learned worry will not change the results. Quote
Larry Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I try to live one day at a time but still think of the future. Not that i worry so much about it but wonder about it. The way i see it the future is what it is and i have no control over it, but am curious to the what if's of it..... Quote
Teacake Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I'm with Larry. I plan for the future but don't necessarily worry about it. Quote
missyk Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I'd have to go with C also. There are things I worry about long-term but I try to keep the list minimal. Quote
