  1. Hi, Irene, and welcome. My wife, Lucie, also has Stage IV nsclc and is 25 months from diagnosis. I can't help you with the specific chemo you are having, but there are many choices out there, so don't give up hope. And, we are here to support you. Don
  2. Hi, Sheryl, and welcome to our little family here. I did not have a heart transplant, but I had bypass surgery 7 years ago. Also a 9-yr. survivor of prostate cancer, two bouts. My wife is the survivor with the lung cancer. She was diagnosed 25 months ago with NSCLC, Stage IV, with mets to the bones. She was given 9 months with treatment, and is still here, battling the beast. Let us know how we may help you as you go along this journey. Blessings. Don

    Just a hello

Hi, Randi! Glad you posted. Cute kid there. Yep, y9ur mom needs those friends and your dad does need to get help both mentally and physically. Good for you to steer them in the right direction. Cheers. Don
  8. Lucie and I went this morning to vote. We were going to vote early last week but the lines were too long. We got in and out this morning without much delay. That is good, because Lucie can't stand around too long. We had new computer voting, so had to learn a new system. Hope all of you got out the vote. Cheers. Don
  9. I'm so sorry at the loss of your dear mom. It sounds like you two had a great thing going. I wish you healing and peace with time. Don
  10. Well, Lucie takes a multivitamin and I take JuicePlus. I do think it has helped my immunosystem. I have been taking it for at least 3-4 years now. Lucie went on the multivitamin (Centrum) when she started chemo two years ago and is still on it. So, I guess either one would be good. Don

Did you notice there are twice as many women on this list of voters as men?
  12. Thanks for the update, Cheryl. Hang in there. Love the pic. Don
  13. Thanks for the update on David, Paddy. My prayers are with you both. Don
  14. Lucie did a lot of coughing after radiation on her upper spine and it took quite a number of months before it subsided completely. Hang in there. Don
  15. In my state, she automatically gets half of the lottery. So she may leave on her own!
  16. I'm not a camper, but I can imagine that your scenario is not all that uncommon for campers. Sorry it all happened but I'm glad you went and had some enjoyment. Glad to have you back. Don
  17. Sounds pretty grave to me.
