    I'm Back...

Hi, Tracy. Good to see you back. Sorry your dad has more trials. Yes, cancer in the rib is a lot less serious than cancer in the spine. I wonder if radiation has been considered to lessen the pain. Lucie has had several bone mets irradiated with the result of significant pain reduction. I also think Aug. is a long time to wait. Don
  2. Hi, Cheryl! Good to see you back and posting again. Lucie was on Taxotere, along with Carboplatin, every three weeks for six rounds. Taxotere is very potent and normally has a lot of side effects -- hair loss, nausea, fatigue, mouth fungus, fingers and toes necrosis, diarrhea, skin rash, etc. Lucie had it all at one time or another during the treatment. We called it the "chemo from hell", but we swear by its effectiveness. Lucie was pretty clear for a year. Good luck, Don
  3. Joni, so saddened at the loss of Robert. God's grace and peace. Let us know how we may help you through the grief process and beyond. Don

  5. Sounds like Hospice is giving TBone what he wants and needs. And he likes the people. A winner, in my book. Don
  6. Don, what a loving gesture for your mom! I would have done the same for Lucie except i had none to shave! You're a good son. Don

    getting scary

Kim, prayers for you and your mom. My wife frequently talks in her sleep, and I am sure it is the medications. Don
  21. Yes, my wife takes a monthly IV for bone mets. There are two major ones -- Zometa nad Aredia. You should ask the onc about them. Don
