    Song for my dad

I oouldn't access it. I got a message that the capacity had been reached. Don
  2. Are the aspens in their golden glory right about now? So gorgeous! My younger son and I went white water rafting on the Arkansas in Colorado in September of 1996, and the aspens were so beautiful then. Regards. Don

    Odd

Katie, I have walked in your shoes five times -- father, mother, sister, mother-in-law, brother. What you are experiencing is normal grief. It takes time, and support. Know that we on this board are hee for you. May God shed His grace, love and peace on you and your family. Don
  4. Annie, you and Tim are in my prayers. Don
  5. Denise, thanks for introducing yourself and your mom to us. We are here for mutual info and support, so take advantage. I can't answer your question because my wife took carboplatin/taxotere. It has been effective so far for her, with bone mets. Keep posting. Don
  6. Yes, and I remember Buster Brown and his dog, Tyge! Pluck your magic twanger, Froggy!
  7. Hi, Mandy! Sorry you and your husband have had to endure so mucn. I also had seeds for prostate a year and a half ago, when the cancer returned after six years. My wife has stage IV NSCLC, with mets to her bones. No liver involvement. Hang in there with us. Don
  8. Hi, Blue Bayou! Glad most of the news was good and hope the last bit is also. Don
  9. I knew I was older than dirt, but you didn't have to prove it! Ha! Ha! Well, I didn't count it up, but I am sure it was close to 25, a perfect score. I remember Ice being delivered to the home as well as milk. Anyways, I had a good laugh at the memories. Thanks. Someone asked me recently what I remember about World War Ii, and I said, "It was hard to get chocolate and bubblegum". Well, I was a kid then, so that is where my priorities were! When I celebrated my 50th birthday nineteen years ago, my then 17 year old son said, "Dad, I didn't know you wee THAT old -- why you're still somewhat active"! We still laugh about that. And, I AM still somewhat active and intend to be for a long time. Thanks for the memories, and the chuckles. Don
  10. Yes, Gina, you can definitely lean on us. Don

  16. Kristy, sounds like your mom is finally in good hands. Please keep us posted. My wife took Carboplatin/Taxotere as her chemo and it was effective. Blessings. Don
  17. Chuckle! I have two small Beagles, so can definitely relate. When Lucie returned from the hospital Wednesday, she exclaimed "I have dog hair on me!" with pride! Don

  19. My prayers are with you also, Dave. Hang in there! Don
  20. It reminds me of the old saying, "I complained I had no shoes until I met a man with no feet."

    Pet Peeve

I know this is nitpicky but it frustrates me when people post the same exact message on three or four different boards. It is hard for me to respond, and hard for me to follow the thread of the discussion when the responses are on several boards. I would appreciate a little consideration, and you can chalk my gripe up to old age and crochitiness. Thanks. Don
  22. Hi, and welcome to the boards. Nope, the anxiety doesn't go away once cancer is diagnosed. We just learn to live with the uncertainty. Keep us posted on what you find, and ask questions. Don
