The way you describe it, I wish I could have been there! I know your mom was smiling down. I was able to stay very busy for the first few months as well. It helps, but it doesn't erase the grief. I hope the next few weeks are kind to you. Kelly

SO GRATEFUL the DH is back at work today...being employed again is thumbs up! Grateful for our bizzare warm day as well (77* in Feb?). The kids enjoyed their recess for once...though it may snow here tomorrow. Very weird. Kelly

Maybe a bit like a comet--afraid I will burn out quickly,but enjoying the rde right now. I'm on a 'high' from watching the kids in the Talent Show, and being in a work environment that covered for me so I could sneak out and go. For now, I'll take it! Kelly

Grateful to doctors and feeling better, and those magical little pills called 'antibiotics'. Good stuff. Grateful for more good news on DH's possible job. I finished a novenna to St. Jude on Sunday, and Matt was called before 8:00 am Monday to tentatively offer him his job back. They have to officially post it for 5 days, but hopefully we will be back in business next Monday. Grateful for hope, and a lifting of the spirits! Kelly

I really do get it. I can't change my picture (though I've changed my hairstyle twice since then), because that picture meant/means something. I sometimes think of editing my signature, but I honestly use it to reference times...answer questions my brothers and I have. Your dad was so much more than the disease that stole him away from you. Soon you will be able to get past the cancer part and remember all else that was good. I struggle almost every day, but know that I need to keep going. One day at a time for now.
