  1. What a character your mom is...I will pray for her, too.
  2. I usually come back and say "The better question to ask is what hazardous chemicals are/were you exposed to in your life?" Daddy worked for Exxon refining oil into gasoline.
  3. I am so sorry, Lisa. Much love, Eppie

  7. SOmetimes i have to make myself call my family...I live in Rhode Island and everyone is in Texas. IT hurts to hear their voices....I hear them and I am afraid I will break down and cry. But i do call. I amke sure I have a set idea of what I want to say. And if I cry, I do. I can;t let fear dictate my actions. Daddy wasn't like that and neither will I be that way. Joseppie, talk to us if you need to. You have not been abandoned. It's just that things get very quiet after our loved ones leave us. Make sure you stay busy. Call those people up and ask them to come over, go to the movies or something. My MIL formed a book club and attended a Grief Group. Both were very helpful. Much love, Eppie

  11. Bill, I feel that we should be grateful to you for sharing so much of the struggle with us. You and your son never gave up advocating for your wife's health. I know it is hard to feel proud of this just having lost your love and light but maybe in time it will comfort you to know you'all did your best for her. Much love, Eppie
  12. Oh Judi, I know that it hurts so much. My eyes are all full of this knowing just reading your post. Take care of your self and please know that we are here and we care. Some of us here have been where you are. It's just one foot in front of the other...but we do it because so many love us and need us to fight on. Much love and healing, Eppie

    Big Dummy

The patella is the knee cap. Yeah, Kaffie, my mom said the same thing but I already asked my man and it kept getting put off. I wanted it done and just got jiggy with it. Now I am paying for it. Next time I am calling someone in.....hubs is nice guy but he doesn't like ladders and was procrastinating. Big hugs, Frank! (If I had landed on my big ol'butt there is enough cushion to prevent injury froma 20 foot drop. ---8 foot drop to the knee....well, I think I got off lucky....very lucky) My mom wants me to come home to Texas so she can spank me for being a bad girl. Might be laid up real bad after that....I haven;t had a butt beatin in a long while---since I have been a good daughter. Aw accidents do happpen. Much love, Eppie

    Big Dummy

The good news is that I am still alive. The bad news is that I fell off a ladder cleanng the gutters. I fell on my hands and knees---cracked my left patella. I was really dumb cleaning gutters when there was no one home but me. I am fine now and will be at the computer a bit more since I have to keep things immobilized. Much love, Dumb Eppie
