Ernie, So glad to see you posted, but sorry you are not feeling well. My mom is on Alimta only, but has similar side effects that Patti described, plus a dull headache for a few days after treatment. I will be praying for great scan results tomorrow and that you will get some relief from your side effects. Hugs, Lisa

Absolutely! Jackie is right on there. I also notice that little silly things that used to seem so important, just aren't anymore. Definitely a "clean up" of people and priorities. -

Michael, Also glad to hear it wasn't too bad. My mom always has a headache, fatigue, and is SOB for a few days afterwards. Like Patti mentioned, it does seem to last a little longer each time, but so far is tolerable. Wishing you continued success! Lisa

Anyone with Stage IIIA or above not get radiation?

My mom's radiation oncologist explained it this way - "I am like a spot welder - just concentrating on a problem area. The chemo goes throughout the body to take of the rest." Don't know if that helps at all, but like the others have said, there would be nothing there to radiate. Lisa -

Grateful that my mom's scan results were good. Grateful, as always, for another day with mom. Grateful that our snowstorm is half over. Grateful Jackie found support and that she posts here each day to remind us there is always something to be grateful for. Thanks, Jackie.
