  1. I'm so very sorry. Take care, Fran
  2. Very interesting about the face in the sunflower. Katha, is this the same photo that Sammy saw the smiley face in upside down? I also see the petal face that looks like it has big ears. Fran

Since this went out over the board I think I'll buy some McCormick stock! Fran
  4. Oh, Bells of Ireland are just wonderful to use in arrangements. They look kind of like green octopus arms to me, though. And the flowers that Katha ordered were beautiful in a flat round black bowl with Bells, green fugi mums, curly willow and stargazer (red/white) lilies arranged with an Asian flair. Fran
  5. Short Story The college girl was supposed to write a short story in as few words as possible for her English class and the instructions were that it had to include Religion, Sexuality and Mystery. She was the only one who received an A+ and this is what she wrote: Good God, I'm pregnant, I wonder who did it. ************************************************************* Subject: DINNER CONVERSATION GONE WRONG WIFE: "What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?" HUSBAND: "Definitely not!" WIFE: "Why not - don't you like being married?" HUSBAND: "Of course I do." WIFE: "Then why wouldn't you re-marry?" HUSBAND: "Okay, I'd get married again." WIFE: "You would? (with a hurtful look on her face)." HUSBAND: (makes audible groan). WIFE: "Would you sleep with her in our bed?" HUSBAND: "Where else would we sleep?" WIFE: "Would you replace my pictures with hers?" HUSBAND: "That would seem like the proper thing to do." WIFE: "Would she use my golf clubs?" HUSBAND: "No, she's left-handed." WIFE: - - - silence - - - HUSBAND: "shi_." ********************************************************** A senior citizen in Florida bought a brand new Mercedes convertible. He took off down the road, flooring it to 80 mph and enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left on his head. "This is great," he thought as he roared down I-75. He pushed the pedal to the metal even more. Then he looked in his rear view mirror and saw a highway patrol trooper behind him, blue lights flashing and siren blaring. "I can get away from him with no problem," thought the man and he tromped it some more and flew down the road at over 100 mph. Then 110, 120 mph! Then he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this kind of thing." He pulled over to the side of the road and waited for the trooper to catch up with him. The trooper pulled in behind the Mercedes and walked up to the man. "Sir," he said,! looking at his watch. "My shift ends in 30 minutes and today is Friday. If you can give me a reason why you were speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go." The man looked at the trooper and said, "Years ago my wife ran off with a Florida State trooper, and I thought you were bringing her back." The trooper replied, "Sir, have a nice day
  6. OK, I've got to dig deep in the TBone joke pool to beat that one! Great job! Fran

    sneezing

This guy goes to the doctor and says "Doc, I've got the strangest ailment. Every time I sneeze I get extremely horny." The doctor says "Gee, that is strange. Never heard of that before. What are you doing about it?". The guy responds "Sniffing pepper." Fran
  8. Oh Yeah! I'll have to remember this one. Fran
  9. Now that one kicks butt! Fran P.S. I saw a bumper sticker on a beat up old pickup truck in Texas once that read: Frankly, I don't give a d--n how you do it up north. Another in Florida: When I get old I'm gonna move up north and drive slow.
  10. Of course, from their perspective, we DO get points! Fran
  11. They finally released the ingredients in Viagra: 3% Vitamin E 2% Aspirin 2% Ibuprofen 1% Vitamin C 5% Spray Starch 87% Fix-A-Flat Tag, you're it, Bruce and Mr. Ry.
  12. Fay, Your comment about big families is right on the money. I had just thought earlier this week that these recent threads about feelings, negativity and such sounded like, well, my family. But we seem to have rebounded with only a few minor sore spots yet to heal as the lchelp family is rebounding and remembering just what is most important. It just is not possible to have the highs in a relationship without the lows. That is the typical wave pattern in all of nature. Everybody take care, Fran

    Bad week

Ginny, Please take care of yourself. And remember: red nail polish. I couldn't find the color you mentioned so went with OPI Red this time. My toes are so cute! Good news! Livi (Katha's youngest) is doing well after surgery. Abby (Katha's oldest was moved up and into a better class-she's happy again), I've got a phone interview Thursday for a job with LOTS more money (although it is far from here), my new boss started today and I liked him (he quickly realized how special I am!) and my memory seems to have come back after anesthesia. Love, Fran P.S. Sshhhhhhh, Katha and Ginger don't know about the interview yet.
  14. Anna Frances Hall is my namesake! Am I privileged or what? Frances Lenora Hall (aka Fran, Teacake, Aunt Fran, and others not mentioned)
  15. Maybe it's because penguins dress like politicians! Fran

    Poof!

There were three guys walking on the beach and found a magic lantern. Of course they picked it up and stroked it. A giant genie popped out and said "I normally grant 3 wishes to 1 person but since there are 3 of you, you'll each get 1 wish". He asked each in turn what their wish was: first guy "I want to be 10% smarter." Poof! He was 10% smarter. The second guy: "I want to be 50% smarter!" Poof! He was 50% smarter. Third guy: "I want to be 100% smarter than these other two guy put together." Poof! He was a woman. Fran
  17. Pamela; My sincerest sympathy in the loss of your father. Please take a deep breath, take a few moments and regroup but mostly take care of yourself. Fran
  18. Ginny, You have been in my thoughts continuously for days now and will continue to be so. Please accept my condolences. Take care, Fran

    David A

I am so sorry for your loss. David had become a great friend to the TBone family and we will mourn his loss. Fran
  20. TBone and the family had a great experience with Hospice of Columbus, a non-profit organization. They were really supportive, there when called, compassionate and knowledgeable. The doctor was so kind and gentle with him. Keep looking until you find a good one. Fran
  21. OPI's "Thrill of Brazil" is good, too! Last fall, the four sisters had planned a trip to NYC in March but it was postponed when Terry got sick. Our tickets are good until December 7 and I hope we decide to do it. The stress and emotional turmoil of the last 7 months have put a strain on our acceptance of our differences and individuality. We need to re-group and get it all back. It certainly would be fun to meet some of y'all at a spa somewhere and just have some days of pampering. Fran
  22. Don, It certainly has been a tough week and I feel your pain and frustration. First and foremost, do what is right for you at this time. The rest will sort itself out. If others "get bent" were they really worth the worry? Take care. Fran
  23. RED toenail polish! Really RED! That'll do the trick.... Love, Fran
  24. David, Venting is good for your health, your soul, your attitude and we are here to listen. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and sending good thoughts. Love, Fran
