  1. (((Katie & Randy))), hugs and prayers for you both. Love, Sue
  2. (((Michelle))), it's so hard.. so so hard. Hang in there. It's good to write down those feelings and let yourself grieve. In time, I can't say it has gotten easier for me, but I do have more good days than bad ones now. Unfortunately , there is no way out of it.. you have to go through it. I hope it helps in some small way to know that people are listening and shoulders are offered from those of us who understand and care. Hugs, Sue
  3. Marci, Thanks for checking in. You will always have a family here and we will always be here if you need us. Wishing only good things for you. Hugs, Sue
  4. Susan , thank you for letting us know. This is such sad news. My condolences to her family and friends. Sue
  5. Ry, this is such an awesome idea. Hope you can find a taker who really needs it. Has Michelle seen this? Hugs, Sue
  6. ((((((((Nick)))))))), your mom was so blessed to have had a son who loved her so much . You are so blessed to have had such a wonderful mom and yes she will always live on in your memory and within you. Such a strong bond can never be broken even when one passes on. Just reading about that book made me cry... I'm sure there will be many more triggers ahead to remind you of how much you miss her. Sometimes I think we just need a good cry to empty out some more of that grief. I'm just speaking from my mind and my heart here.. just thinking out loud. Bless your heart, I hope tomorrow will be a better day. Hugs, Sue
  7. Thanks for sharing this, Melanie! It's beautiful and so inspirational. Hugs, Sue
  8. Not a wrestling fan, but ALWAYS, a fan of good news for a cancer patient. "Cancer free" is as good as it gets.. woo hoo!
  9. Barb, I'm glad to hear that the plan is for Bill to return home soon. I fully understand what you are saying about being there with your loved one when they are hospitalized or in a facility. I've always been there for my loved ones and felt sorry for patients who seemed to have no one. But, Barb , please look out for yourself, when you can, also. I know how hard that can be. Be glad for both of you when you are in your own home. Lots of prayers continue to come your way. Hugs, Sue
  10. I'm here.... sorry , had a couple of these light beers I brought , got comfy and dozed off for a bit, but I'm here .... Who's next to be picked up?
  11. (((Tina))), Those dates seem to be forever etched into our minds and felt by our hearts. Hugs, Sue
  12. Kasey , hurry back here and deliver that greeting and welcome. We are waiting. I've got my Miller Lite in hand and am ready to celebrate .
  13. I live on the east coast of Virginia, but I could wind my way up to Richmond and meet up with Annette. I'll bring more Miller Lite, seems it's the brew of choice by many. A couple mumu's and flip flops will see me thru.. Looks like the east coast stops are adding up.
  14. Melanie, Judy said it all and she is right. Knowing that you are moving toward a plan is a good feeling. There's nothing worse than waiting and wondering. Know that I am keeping you in my prayers and I'll be looking for your update on Monday. Keep that good attitude, it goes a long way. Hugs, Sue
  15. (((Judy))), First of all, I am sorry about the loss of your friend, Frank and about your friend Loreen's heart attack. I am sure you were a wonderful friend to Frank and that you are to Loreen. As for all this funk stuff, it sounds like you are just human. You try so hard to be positive and you do so much to keep others around you cheered up ( you do a good job of it too) , but even YOU have the right to have concern , worries, fatigue and all the things that go not only with a cancer fight , but with life in general. I'm so glad that you came here and shared it all with us. It helps to get it out , especially when you can share with people who not only understand , but people who really care for you. Hope you get a good report from the labs and that you are feeling better soon. And.. give yourself a break. You really pushed yourself.. pamper yourself. Lots of hugs, Sue
  16. WONDERFUL NEWS!!! I'm just overjoyed with this news... Give Thomas hugs for me and take a few for yourself. I love reading this kind of news. Hugs, Sue
  17. Barbara, you hang in there. You are going to do great with the cyberknife. My mom is 81 years old and she just went through it . Her main side effect was fatigue ( remember she is 81), but others have only mild to moderate fatigue. No two people are the same nor are any two cases. Many people are having excellent results with cyberknife. Try hard to have positive thoughts about it. As for the stent to the trachea, my husband had to have that and it was a relatively quick and easy procedure. He could sure breathe better after. Hang in there and know that there are lots of caring people on this site who want you to do well and we are here for you. Hugs, Sue
  18. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Barb. Hope we here from you soon. Hugs, Sue
  19. Katie, 13,000 is the number of times you opened up your heart and mind to share with and help all of us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love, Sue
  20. (((Cindy))), hugs for you and Happy Birthday to your Dad in heaven. It does help to come and share with people who understand. Hope your day was filled with good memories. Hugs, Sue
  21. Such a wonderful milestone to be celebrating , Carol. May there be many many more. Amen to the prayer for cure. Hugs, Sue
  22. Kasey, I'm right here celebrating this wonderful milestone with you. You are such an inspiration and a gift to all who come here. Love you Kasey. May there be many many more celebrations to come. Hugs, Sue
  23. (((Pat))), You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I know how hard it is, even 4 years later. Love and Hugs, Sue
