  1. ((((Randy)))), And two months later, I lost Mike. Sometimes, it just seems like it was yesterday. I do understand Randy and I keep you in my prayers , always. BIG Hugs, Sue
  2. Good to see OUR snowflake back... am looking forward to seeing how this trip progresses from here. It's bound to be a success.. I'm just sitting in the back of the bus laughing my head off and looking forward to a fun trip. You may have a bit of trouble catching up with Judy.. last I heard from her, she was out traveling through farm country in Indiana. Sue
  3. Hey Becky, Sure am glad you are back. I'm still back here on this bus too. Gonna need to stop and replenish the Miller Lite supply though. It has been a while, but this promises to be a a worthwhile trip. Great to have new folks join us as well. Glad I poked my head in and saw what was going on here. Hugs, Sue
  4. (((((Val))))) Dear Val, I have tears streaming down my face right now. I've been trying to keep up with everything going on with you, as you post them on Facebook. You have your plate really full and I can only imagine that the loss you feel is magnified now. There are just some things and some times that only a mama knows the right thing to say or do. I hope your day won't be too hard for you. I also want you to know that I am and will be praying for you as you go through this pregnancy, childbirth and health issues etc. Hugs, Sue
  5. Michelle, I'm so sorry that I missed this before. I just want you, your dad and your family to know that you have my heartfelt sympathy. You will be forever welcome here and please know that you are among friends who understand and care. Hugs, Sue
  6. Denise, the cancer free part is indeed fantastic news... As for the rest, I guess you just have to see what the doctors have to say about it. I'm so sorry that there has to be a downside of this report. Just know that , Tom has my prayers and I hope this isn't nearly as scary as it must seem to you right now. Hang in there and let us know, please. Hugs, Sue
  7. Dave, My mom, who is 81 years old, just had cyberknife November 2009 and just had her Pet Scan June 7th.. the results were, NED... yes, nothing left , but a bit of scar tissue. She is a 3 year cancer survivor, has had two wedge sections and now this. I'm not sure what kind of information you would like to know, but I will be more than happy to answer what I can if you would like to PM me. Briefly, this is all I know.. Mom's tumor was in CM not mm, so it had some size to it, but cyberknife still worked for her. She was not a candidate for another surgery due to her COPD and the fact that last surgery resulted in a 3 week hospital stay for her, due to complications- pneumonia etc. Cyberknife requires, scans , biopsies and also markers to be placed prior . It's a long prep process , but the actual treatment time varies per patient. My mom had 5 days of treatment and she was required to lie on the table for a long period of time.. she was there about 3 hours each time. There are a lot of variables to this plan... I will be glad to give you details, if you write to me.. Mom, due to her age had a rough time with fatigue after , but this is not always the case. Your case may be more like Joel's .. see Maryanne's post in the test time forum.. We are currently waiting , once again for Joel's follow up to his latest scan. So far, he has done well. As I have said, feel free to PM me if you have further questions you would like to ask. Best of luck to you. Hugs, Sue

  10. Posting in the GOOD NEWS forum is such an awesome feeling. I just posted these results on Facebook and of course I wanted to put them here for all of our lcsc family. My mom, after a 3 year journey with lung cancer, 2 operations and then cyberknife... is now cancer free... yes... this is my post for all who have helped make this possible.. MOM'S SCAN RESULTS ARE IN: To all our family and friends who were out there praying , sending positive vibes etc... you done good... Prayers are answered in a big way.... Mom's Pet scan shows NED... no evidence of disease anywhere in her body! Thanks, God!!! Thank you , our wonderful family and friends.. :) My mom and my family thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support.. love and prayers.. Next scan will be in 6 months.. Love, Sue
  11. (((Missy K))), old or new, you are still thought about. It's good to see you here, but sorry that it is in the grieving section. This grieving business is a bit unpredictable, Missy. Sometimes, it seems we can just be blindsided when we least expect it , oftentimes on anniversary dates or holidays . Your post brought back a flood of memories from your earlier posts, we just don't forget friends and family members of friends we have met along our own journeys. Grieving is painful and I can understand you wanting to avoid it, but sometimes I think it just helps to let it happen and let out some of that pain. You take care, Missy . You know you are still and will always be a part of the family here. Hugs, Sue
  12. (((Judy))), This is my second attempt to post here... hope I don't lose this one. First of all, I'm so sorry that you are so uncomfortable and so worried. Judy, please try to put the worst case scenario out of your mind until it is confirmed. If I understand your last scan report correctly, you said the doctor saw something that could possibly be cancer, but nothing lit up in that area. Not lighting up is a good thing and I'm here to tell you that Mike and my mom , both have had scares from what the radiologist thought could be cancer. Anytime something shows that is where it wasn't before, it becomes a suspicion. My mom had two scares last year for things suspected of cancer.. had them followed up with biopsies only to find things benign.. Mike had 6 treatments of Alimta and constipation was severe for him. He had to learn what worked for him and stay on top of it the best he could , but even then, at times, it seemed not enough. As you have indicated, it was a continuous upset between constipation and diarrhea .I saw him lose sleep and be in pain a many a time. As for his scans on his intestines.. they always showed diverticulitis.. I'm just praying that it's something other than cancer and I hope you can possibly get tested sooner , rather than later, so you can get you answers and the treatment you need for whatever is causing you so much discomfort. Hang in there dear, friend. Let us know where you decide to go from here. I would be pushing the docs to help you find answers now. Let us be here to support you. Love & Prayers, Sue
