  1. I was lucky to get by with a 17. I missed some easy ones. Good thing I'm not color blind, since I didn't know which light was green! Kelly
  2. My daughter (6th grade) wants to earn her Bronze award in Girl Scouting. To do so, she must plan and implement a service project. She told me today that she has decided what she wants to do: Sponsor a poster contest to help raise awareness about LC issues. She has developed a plan, and is really excited about this. She is ready to start the research and create her flyers. She is just waiting for approval of her project I really am so proud of her, and I know my mom will be as well. There is the slightest chance that in the last 11 years I may have managed to do something right! Kelly
  3. I hope you just love it there! I also spent a year working at my church's preschool. It was also way out of my comfort zone--I typically teach high school or middle school. It wasn't a life-long job for me, but I'll always treasure that year, and the time it gave me with my son. It is fun watching those kids (now 2nd and 3rd graders) grow up at church. Let us know how it goes! I am excited for you. Kelly
  4. Oh, man, am I out numbered here! I tried the Flylady thing, and during the summer when I don't work I rock at it! Once school starts back up, though--we become cyclical cleaners. We get everything in order on Saturday, but it deteriorates throughout the week. I swear we are never even home, with ball games, meetings, etc. all week, but we somehow manage to trash the place. I have started a new system--in a few weeks I hope it will be in place. Until then, love me, even if you hate my house. Kelly
  5. Man! I wonder how many times my mom said the same thing to her friends. Obviously she was right every time except the last one. I'll tell you right now...better not let ANYONE mess with my babies when the time comes! You have my most sincere sympathies! Kelly
  6. You've been through a tough road already. I hope you can find some answers, support, and hope here. Take care of yourself through all of this, and keep us posted. Kelly
  7. ((((Beth)))) I hope you can take comfort in knowing that you have been the kind of wife/caregiver that someone can look at and say that everything important has already been said. While this is a horribly sad "story", it is also a beautiful love story. The love you have for each other, and for the kids, is so easy to "see" through your words. You are in my prayers. Take care of your self. Kelly
  8. In college my friend and I made our selves into a greeting card, with a racy punchline. We wore white sweats and shirts, as I remember, made "sandwich board" types of things...she was the front of the card, and I was the inside message. After everyone got the joke, we did separate, but it was a hoot. Kelly
  9. What a horribly tough time. Again, remember that you are not alone. I'll keep you in my prayers. Keep us posted. Kelly
  10. How funny...I thought the same thing when I was over there and Austria! We actually had a couple of conversations about the number of heavy smokers we saw in public, but the fact that we never saw anyone there on oxygen. Do they have better health care? Better genes? Hide their sick? I honestly didn't know. Kelly
  11. Honestly, Jim, I could cry. Bless you for fighting this beast with everything you've got, and bless you for encouraging the rest of us so much. I feel like skipping around the room. In fact, I think I might just do so now. As my son would say, "You rock!" Kelly
  12. Happy birthday! I'll have some cake and think of you. I'm thoughtful that way. Kelly
  13. Our own little angel! Kelly
  14. Trish, I can imagine that you are feeling overwhelmed right now. You are taking such good care of your mom, and be sure to take care of yourself as well. You can't help her or your two wonderful little ones if you burn out. I don't have any experience in WBR, but I will add my prayers for your mom. She's been through so much--I hope she gets some relief soon. Kelly
  15. Well, then, I think you are due for some good news. What ever happened to the laws of averages? Seriously, I'm praying for some peace for you while you wait, and good results this time. Kelly
  16. Well, to put it mildly, that stinks! I know you will all rebound and attack the beast, but the initial shock is horrible. You are certainly in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there! Kelly
  17. Ah, geesh. You do wonder, sometimes, when our dear moms will catch a break. Glad you all have such a positive outlook on it! Kelly
  18. You want to get really sinful...I add M&Ms to the mix. Thank Oz this only comes around once a year, or I'd be a barn! Kelly
  19. I wanted to be a trapeze artist or Wonder Woman. I think I was blinded by the costumes, plus I wanted the invisible plane. Kelly
  20. I wish I could coin a new word to use other than "inspiration", but it just so perfectly describes both of you. Your strength, love, and commitment come through each and every post. I'm always happy to see a post from you, and am just tickled pink to see one with such positive news! Kelly
  21. Now that is just fan-tabulous! I am so happy for you--and it is so great for the rest of us to hear this kind of news. Thanks for sharing it! Kelly
  22. That is extremely cool! Thanks for sharing. Kelly
  23. That is really cool. I'm so glad you were able to communicate with them, and help them out. It's beautiful to see people reaching out all over the country to help. Kelly

    Question :

Mine at home is just fine. At work I'm wireless, and it drives me BATTY when it is down (every other day or so). We're so pitiful...I'll email the teacher across the hall during class if I remember something, rather than take the risk of forgetting 30 minutes later. Kelly
