  1. Sandy, Saying ((((BIG - BIG)))) prayers for you. God has blessed you with his healing. By his stripes you are healed... God Bless and Gentle Cyber Hugs [[[[[sandy]]]]] Karen
  2. Bess, Not sure what it means, but it sounds good. I am sure there will be someone who can help with an answer. I know for NSC, CEA is what the docs use, I'm not sure with SC... Praying for you and for continued good results. God Bless Karen
  3. Fay, Thanks for sharing. Give her our best and I'll be praying for a speedy recovery... God Bless Karen
  4. Sally, Saying prayers for your brother that the Taxotere works. By his stripes we are healed... God Bless Karen
  5. Gwamakawen, I too had the same treatment that your father has had. I am a stage III, and the treatments worked for me. Tumor shrunk. I put my treatments in the hand of the Lord. I had another broncoscopy on 10-16 and my docs could not find tumor and biopsy came back negative. oh, by the way the tumor was originally 17cm. My suggestion is, make sure your dad is eating and keeping his strength up. Has he had a PET scan to make sure cancer has not spread. If he is not in pain, don't take pain meds. Makes one delusional and out of control of self being. If I have pain I take tylonol for arithiritis. (Leg pains from procrit & chemo) I hope this helps you. I will be praying for you, your dad and brother. It is good that you are moving closer to your dad, he needs you there as a caregiver and to oversee that the docs are treating him correctly. I agree with Don, find another doctor that will give you some answers... God Bless and Warm and Gentle Hugs Karen P.S. Please keep us posted. We do care and want to help as much as we can.
  6. Flabet, I am so sorry for the loss of your husband. Sending my condolences to you. Sending prayers to you and your family. God be with you and soften your pain... Please let us support you during your trying times. God Bless Karen
  7. Klooty, I am so sorry that your dad id not doing well. Just keep the faith and believe in our Lord, Jesus. Please put this in his hands and he will prevail. I was devistated when I was dx'd, but I put it in my Lord's hands. All things are possible... Now my doctor's cannot find a tumor and my 2nd biopsy came back negative. The tumor was 17cm, which is larger than your dad's. It was wrapped around the pulmonary artery and I could not have surgery. Is your dad eating? He needs to build up his strength and if possible get off of the pain meds. Insure or boost is good for nutrition supplements. He is in a dilereous state right now and can't fight this head on. Has your dad been staged? Is it small cell or non- small cell? Is he getting chemo yet? If so, what is the chemo that he is receiving. Has he had a PET scan? Can your dad understand anything when you talk to him? I am so sorry that you have to endure this pain and suffering. I wish I could just make it go away. I will keep you and dad in my prayers. Please let us know what is happening, so that we can try and help you... Warm and Gentle Hugs God Bless Karen

    Boom!

Dean, I admire what you did. Sometimes these doctors just don't want to listen. They seem to want to do what THEY think is good for you and to he** with what you want. You stood up to that doctor and just maybe he'll get the message. You have to do what is right for you. As ConnieB said, you could very easily beat this without medical treatment. I am praying for you each day that you do beat it, God be with you. By his stripes you are healed. Just believe. Please keep us posted because we do care about you.... God Bless Karen
  9. Welcome Lisa, I hope that your tests come out ok and you stay in the stable mode. Take care and prayers for you... God Bless Karen
