  6. Sandy, I am sure that everyone second guesses everything in this cancer game. I have done it for myself a bit, but I don't dwell on it. Please be at peace. I know it is not the same, but I rather fancy that our loved ones don't go to some far away place when they die. They are right here with us. We just can't have dialogue with them or see and touch them like we used to do. I talk to my dad and my brother and friends in my heart and my mind who have died. I hope your sister soon comes off the intubator without any problem. Don M
  7. Debbie, I am very sorry that you lost your dad. You can come here any time to unload. Don M
  8. Just get through your treatment Sue. You quit before so you can quit again. And maybe, you will just lay the pack down a day or two and forget about them. Don M
  9. I generally get the idea that taxotere is more nasty than alitma. so, I will probably do alitma when I am done with radiation. Don M

  17. Hi Debbie: I hope your dad can get out of the hospital soon and get going on his treatment. Your dad an you all have my best wishes. Don M
  18. Lori: Apparently you have exhausted all your options..I think the State of Washington would be more aggressive in helping the consumer.. but I don't know. I have no advice except to say that Peggy's advice seems good. If I were in your position I probably would not have the energy or resources to wage a legal battle. You and your mom have my prayers. Hmmm Actually, it looks like to me that the KY Office of Insurance gave you a bum steer. The Department of Labor handles workman's compensation. The KY Office of Insurance is the one that has oversight over private insurers. I don't know why they would send you to DOL. If you still have some energy left, go back and demand that they (KY Office of Insurance) do an investigation. I went to their website and you can file a complaint on line: http://doi.ppr.ky.gov/Kentucky/ Don M
  19. Good. Your dad is on track and in treatment and hanling ok now. Don M
  20. I would just like to add my welcome to you. It is true that some people die rather quickly from this disease, but many others survive and enjoy their lives for years. There are 10 years+ survivors here who have no evidence of disease and started out at a rather gloomy place. So, there is hope...there is hope. Let it be your mantra. There are some side benfits to having lc too. For instance, I no longer sweat the little things. I used to get all upset when I stepped on dog s--t, but no more. Now I just smile. If the doctors seem pessimistic, your husband should get a second opinion at a major cancer center. Don M
  21. I was going to post this when I saw you already did Rich. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield for Federal Emplyees. So far, it has been good. Don M
  22. Teri has smy continued prayers. Don M
  23. Don: I am sorry the alitma did not work for Lucie. I hope the next option works for her and Lucie can still make the graduation. Don M
  24. It is hard to say, but like others, I suspect it is treatment related. I think antidepressants would help. Try to get her to do some exercise, a little bit each day. Don M
