jorja
I am so nervous right now. As I am sitting here in the computer lab at school while my dad is at his oncologists getting his 6 month check up. I can't stop thinking about him. He has been doing remarkably well. But you all know how it is for family members to be anxiously waiting for results...... I know there are so many of us that need some prayers so hopefully there can be few left over for my dad.... love, jorja

dchurchi
Jorja, as a fellow stess case after every scan my husband has, I understand what you are going through. I have yet to find anything that really helps me get my mind off the test results until after we see the Dr. I have many prayers for you Dad so they are on the way. jorja
Thank you for all the prayers. My dad seems to be doing really well according to his oncologist. He has gained weight and his lungs look and sound clear (according to an x-ray). When he got home, the oncologists office called and told my mom that his blood is low and he should wait a couple of weeks and to just go to his family doctor to get it checked again. They also said it isn't anything serious but I am wondering if it is something to worry about? My dad goes back in 4 months. Thanks again...you guys are great! love, jorja
J.C.
Jorja, Glad for the good report on your father, just make sure that your father see his family doctor and talk about a blood test for soon and what to do in the mean time to build it up. It happens often after and during treatments that blood gets a bit low and when followed it gets back to normal again. The family doctor will know what to do. Kasey
Jorja, So glaad to hear this news. It doesn't sound like anything alarming to me. Sometimes we like to read more into doc's commenets than need be. I know I do it! Take it as GREAT news. Kasey

Kaffie
Happy to hear your father is doing better. Don't worry about the blood, it happens a lot. Mine was low off and on but slowly built itself back up. My doctor said the same thing. It can take time, be happy he's doing well and enjoy him Kathy

mrhodes
I'm was pleased to read your report midstream. Now is the time to relax and enjoy. I agree with others, the blood issue sounds quite expected and normal under the circumstances. Melinda

shineladysue
Sounds like good news jorja . As for the blood, don't worry. It will probably be fine next time and if not it can be treated. Take care. Love, Sue
