  1. It is just so unfair. This makes me so sad. You have my prayers every day, without asking. Joan
  2. Hi Donna, I'd first just like to welcome you and wish you luck in your battle. I'm also claustrophobic and cannot get into an MRI without medication. I would strongly suggest asking your doctor for something because now it doesn't even bother me. As far as being cumulative, it really depends. My last chemo turned out to have the least side effects, so Who Knows??? Joan[/u]
  3. Shirley, My reaction to your same drugs were very similar. I don't believe that the effects are cumulative because when I was going for my last treatment, I was really nervous about that, and it was my very best one (no reaction at all). Just be very sure, even if you're not hungry, to DRINK lots of water, juice or whatever you can get down. I liked the ensure and it also filled me up, but whatever you like, liquids are imperative! Its very easy to become dehydrated while undergoing chemo. Just don't worry, you'll be fine. Stay positive. Joan
  4. Connie, My sincere condolences to you and your family. Joan

  7. I'm really trying, believe me. I'm totally demented when it comes to this. I'll get one of my kids to help me when they come over. Promise.
  8. Hi, You should also check out our "Nodule" section. Joan
  9. Hi Laurel, Please get a second opinion. The fact that the oncologist said "chemo wouldn't be worth it" really bothers me. How could increasing your mother's life span, even for months, not be worth it? Every minute of my life is "worth it"!! There are people on this board who's lives have been extended by years. Best wishes for you and your mother. Joan

  14. If your mom was lucky enough to be in early stages, why wouldn't she go with a proven protocol that could possibly save her life??? I also have to agree with Alisa. To forgo treatment because someone wrote a book claiming to have "the cure" is CRAZY!! I just don't get it. Joan
  15. Welcome and just let us know how we can be of help. Joan

  24. It's really funny you asked this question. I've had a runny nose since I was (either) diagnosed or chemo. Can't remember exactly when it started. But I can't go anywhere without my tissues. ????? Joan
