I am so very sorry to hear all your dad is going through. I wish I could give you something to help. My moms BP was very low also. Since she had been on high blood preassure meds they took her off and that helped. I hope tomorrow brings the answers you are looking for and your dad can feel better. Dana

Oh my heart breaks to hear this news. Liz was such an inspiration to many. I pray for strength and peace for her family. Heaven has a beautiful angel, but she will be missed deeply here on earth. Dana

I just saw this and I hope you all those meds are kickin in and you are feeling better. Take time to take care of yourself! Also I must add, things like this only happen when my husband is out of town. I swear he can leave and within hours something is bound to happen! EIther sickness or something blows up in the house! Ok, as a very dedicated WI resident I am a die hard Packer fan!! I don't think you can live in WI and not cheer on Farve and the team. I think it may even be illegal!!? On a side note I just read Deanna Farve's book and it was great! And that has nothing to do with living in WI. I really would encourage others to read it. Dana

My mom had 15 pci treatments this past July. SHe had the same symptoms as everyone here. Nothing to bad at all. I know it was the right decision for her. Prayers, Dana

I believe you have to laugh. My family has found humor has helped us many times. I will share one of many. We were on the way home from a radiation appointment which is about 45 minutes away. It was nice so we had the windows down. We couldn't figure out what was flying around the car. FInally my mom said "It's my hair!!" Please note that this was something my mom wanted control over, so we had decided when it started to really come out we would shave it. She looked me straight in the face and said "I'll just stick my head out the sunroof and by the time we get home it will be taken care of!" This was the first time we really laughed since this roller coaster ride had started. From that point on we find humor whenever we can. I am glad that PCI was offered that is a very good sign. I know it is a very difficult decision to make. My mom choose to have it done. Research does show it makes a difference. Chemo can't penetrate the brain because of the blood brain barrier. My mom hasn't regretted it for a moment. Her side effects were minimal. A little short term memory, but chemo can do that to. She had it done in June-July and her hair is finally starting to grow. I do believe there is a slight difference between PCI and Whole brain(I believe in the intensity) but I will have to look back in my notes. (I wrote everything down every Dr told us!) I believe everyone has to make the decision that is right for them. I will send prayers out as you make these very difficult choices. Prayers to you and your family, Dana
