  1. I want to play too! 1. I have triplet daughters 2. I got an A+ on a paper I wrote for my son's English class 3. I met Larry the Cable Guy
  2. We had been married for 3 months our first Thanksgiving. We went to my parent's home 50 miles away. On Thanksgiving morning Rod needed to move our car, when he started it the gas line did something bad and the engine started on fire. The fire dept. came and put it out but we had to borrow my mom's car to get home. But the food was great, as usual! Barb
  3. Last week I asked Rod's onc. about MD Anderson since so many people on here go there. His experience has been that the doctors will not share any information with him. We are in Lincoln, NE and I asked about the MDA in Texas. Barb
  4. I'm grateful the board members where Rod works are so kind and want to treat Rod "the way they would want to be treated". They will give him all the time off he needs. Just being very understanding. Barb

  8. Mary Colleen, You certainly have my prayers for your husband. I will pray that he finds a new purpose for life that is very meaningful to him. I am SO sorry this happened to him. It just breaks my heart... Barb
  9. I would be uncomfortable talking to a family friend. It helps me to go to someone who only has a relationship with me through several years of counseling on different "things". I hope you find that someone, it has been a huge source of strength to me. Barb

  12. Trish, Rod is starting Alimta next Thursday. I got the info sheet and it looks like we need to get out the popsicles. If I remember correctly, I read that during the treatment the pt should eat popsicles and it helps prevent some of the sore mouth, But then I take sleeping pills and have "vivid" dreams so it could just be that I love popsicles. I don't get it about the big girl panties..... Can we get out the rifle to kill the cancer I can't find the baseball bat? Barb
  13. Ken, I love the word "curable". You doc sounds like a good guy, I don't think he's lying to you. Best wishes to you. Barb
