I am up late most evenings and the ads I don't like are the ones for the "young adult" phone lines. The ones that have the gorgeous girls on the commercials.... like those are the ones you are going to get when you phone in...yeah right! They are somewhat amusing though I guess....I wonder how many people actually phone in!

I have always thought of running a family restaurant. With good home cooked meals. And the whole family involved. I know having your own restaurant involves working long hours with little time off, but I have always thought it would be very rewarding.

Hi Teri. I am sorry to hear about your mom that you obviously love dearly. Yes the treatments for this can really kick our butts and our normal self seems to go on vacation. But it is the treatments doing it so just remember that. Your mom does sound like one tough lady. Prayers that she does have some recovery to her old self and that you can all spend more quality time with her. You will find tons of support and information here from many kind people who have walked in both your and your mother's shoes. Please take care and keep us posted on how everyone is doing. Sandra

Good morning all. It is a bit cool here but beautiful and sunny and it was sunny all weekend as well. My weekend was full of ball games and visiting with friends. I just love getting invited out for dinner! We have hummingbirds come to the feeder on our deck year round. Feed them and they will come. They are beautiful to watch. But they can sure be aggressive with each other for such small things. First come first served...others beware! Have a great day everyone! Sandra

Hi Mike. I had a reaction (itch) from morphine and started taking an anithistamine for that. I asked if there was any harm in having to take that daily (which I don't anymore), and the answer was no. Now that answer came from a pain doctor. But I don't believe there is any harm. Check with your med onc though to be sure.

I am sleeping pretty good right now but do seem to need more than I used to. I slept about 9 hours straight....with no sleep aids!

Hi Donny. So sorry for your need to be here but glad you found us. There are many of us here who have walked in your shoes and have lots of information to share and support to give. Hi there. Well you guys have been through so much, both financially and medically but you have just kept on living life! Good for you! Have a most awesome return trip to Jamaica and behave the best you can! Sandra

Well I got my hair cut again! I think that's twice now since it started growing back, so that is a highlight for me! Not much off of course, just enough to tidy up the loose ends. We also had family friends over for a wonderful dinner last night. The food and the company were excellent. I love to entertain and cook fancy meals. I am a bit limited in the kitchen lately but did manage to pull a few dishes off yesterday. And of course had lots of good help!

Many prayers for Judy and her family. I too remember her wit at chat.

I agree with others. Keep on eye on it and if it doesn't improve, seek some medical advice. There is no need for Tom to have difficulty breathing. Let's hope he is more comfortable soon. Sandra
