    Prayer Request......

    Praying for Debbie and Alan.
  2. Patty, I think you should have Thanksgiving and use your Mom's roaster and keep all the traditions alive that you got from your mother. I am sure it will be hard, but I can't know how hard (my parents are in their 80's, but still here). My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during the holidays. Hugs, Nancy B
  3. Is there an address? I'm in California and I would love to send Addie a card. Thanks
  4. Jen, So sorry to hear this. Just know you and your Mom and your family are in my prayers.

  6. A great big hug for you Peggy and prayers that things will look brighter for you soon. Also praying that God is wrapping his arms around you, I just know He is. Love, Nancy B
  7. Addie, just get better and get back here! We need you. And, we love you. Prayers and hugs, Nancy B

  11. Pat and Brian, I am praying for a miracle for you guys. I have a prayer list written in a book and you guys are at the top. We just have to have faith that God has a plan and that He knows best (hard as that is sometimes). I am praying for strength, comfort, courage and healing. Love and hugs to both of you. Nancy B
  12. Becky, thanks so much for going. I am sorry there was a light turn-out, hopefully Saturday in Pasadena will be better. I am really looking forward to meeting you and Andrea and Andrea's Mom. I am hoping that Fay can come Saturday too. Rain is suppose to stop by tonight, I think, so Saturday should be dry.
  13. Becky, what a kick - that is so funny. Thanks
  14. Becky, thanks for doing this. I know it means alot to Fay. I have several cookbooks, but I am at work in Sunland (cookbook is at home) and I won't be able to leave today until 4:00. Don't see anyway to get one to you. I am looking forward to meeting you on Saturday. Hugs, Nancy B
  15. Fay, I am so sorry, you worked so hard on this. My cold is better but the rain is suppose to hit us this afternoon and I can't drive in the rain either. Could you send the items you have prepared and I will put them at the LCSC table on Saturday at the Wellness Community happening? I believe BeckyCW is going to be there also. Maybe you could come down for that one, I think it is suppose to be dry by then. I just talked to my husband and it is pouring in Camarillo and he is heading for Santa Barbara this afternoon. I always worry. I am glad you are not making the drive. Take care, and think about Saturday. It is 8:30-12:30. Long drive for only a few hours, but we could go to lunch after. Hugs, Nancy B
  16. Donna, praying for a miracle for Mark. Take care, Nancy B

    few questions

I am sclc (limited)as well. I would go in for 3 days straight and get both the carboplatin and etoposide on the same day, every 21 days. I had 4 cycles. They were able to remove my tumor surgically (had to remove it to biopsy it). At first I was given Kytril for nausea, didn't work, then they gave my Zofran and it worked. Just be sure she doesn't get dehydrated - that happened to me and I ended up going in on the 4th day of chemo for fluids only. Hope this is some help. I think my oncologist did scans about a month after I finished chemo. Hugs, Nancy B
  18. Oh Pat, I don't have any answers for you but I just want you to know that I am praying really hard for Brian and you and your family. Take care. Love and hugs, Nancy B
  19. Tina, I would love it if you would e-mail me the poster. We are having a huge race this weekend and I am posting LCSC info. on the outside of our trailer. Hundreds of people will be coming by and will see it. Thanks, Nancy B
  20. Hi Miss Di, welcome. I am in southern calif. You will find many caring and supportive people here. Please stay in touch with us and let us know how we can help you. Nancy B
  21. A cabbie picks up a nun. She gets into the cab, and notices that the VERY handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her. She asks him why he is staring. He replies "I have a question to ask you but I don't want to offend you". She answers, "My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive". "Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me". She responds, "Well, let's see what we can do about that: #1 you have to be single and #2 you must be a Catholic". The cab driver is very excited and says, "Yes, I'm single and Catholic!". "OK" the nun says. "Pull into the next alley." The nun fulfills his fantasy with a kiss that would make a hooker blush. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying. "My dear child," said the nun, why are you crying?" "Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied and I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish". The nun says, "That's ok. My name is Kevin and I'm going to a Halloween party."
  22. Hi Joyce, I just recently joined the LCA Calif. committee and when Nancy e-mailed what the gov. had done, I was just sick. Is there any thing we can do to change this? It seems the year 2005 was mentioned. Maybe we can start now and get a proper proclamation in place for 2006. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your husband. Thanks for your work to get the word out about lc. Nancy B
  23. 96 books? wow!!! I don't have that many friends.
  24. I have had both only not at the same time. 5 1/2 years ago I had my upper left lobe removed (NSCLC) with no lymph node involvement, so no chemo or radiation. In June of 2004, I was diagnosed with SCLC in my lower left lobe. Had a wedge-resection done, then 4 months of chemo and 20 PCI treatments. I would definitely get another opinion. It is my understanding that SCLC spreads more quickly and is more receptive to chemo so I would think they would act on that one first. Hope this helps. Good luck to your brother. Nancy B
  25. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLIE
