I know I have told others many times that the chemo has to take the good with the bad, so hopefully the bad cells are dying too. We'll take all the good days we can get. I hope the scans show that the Alimta is doing the job and that the side effects begin to subside. This is not a disease for sissies. daggiesmom Posted February 27, 2006 Share Posted February 27, 2006 Just a suggestion - for the cough I use a cough syrup (prescrition, as it has codine) called Hydormet Syrup (generic for Hycodan). I am hoping and praying so much that the Alimta is working for John and that the scans will prove it and the third infusion will continue to kill those cells.
