kamataca Posted August 9, 2006 Share Posted August 9, 2006 Today is mom's 18-month anniversary of dx!!! Originally the drs shook their heads and said she had, "Maybe 12-18 months" to live. Well, fooled them! She is still doing remarkably well--she moves around, can drive, goes shopping (especially on Sr. Citizen's Day at Kohl's!), and is looking forward to the start of school so she can go back to volunteering full-time at my kids' school. We were so afraid of those numbers when they first told them to us, but Mom has shattered their estimates. Now, I will admit, she has been on performance-enhancing steroids lately...
