Went to the onc Friday morning. He said I was in complete remission after looking at the scans from the week before. We were thrilled. Unfortunately my husband was in a wreck due to an insulin reaction. He was dehydrated. The dehydration combined with the wreck brought on acute kidney failure. Friday afternoon he went into the hospital but came home today and is doing well. That was certainly a day of a mountain top experience and then the valley. We are thanking God for bringing healing into my body and pray for His continued blessings. Our prayers are for all of you here on this forum each evening. After reading various notes I often mention you by name to God. May our gracious Father bless you all. pammie
Hi Frances, I don't know the answers to your questions but can tell you my experience. Stable for me was that the cancer did not grow but stayed the same after six months of chemo. Since getting rid of the cancer is the goal the onc has me on Iressa. I will find out the results of CT's tomorrow. if there is shrinkage of cancer that is good. It is not remission but a positive response to treatment. Will be praying for you, your dad and your family. So thankful that you are checking info out for your dad. A blessing for him. pammie
Praying for an excellent report for you Cindy. I will find out Friday what my scans were from last week. First scans in six months so am wondering also. pammie
Lots of people in my family go to chiros. They feel that chiros are very helpful. Sometimes it takes several adjustments before things are right again though. My brother-in-law often goes three times in two or three days to get things straightened out. Call the chiro and tell him your pain is worse. He needs to know. continuing in prayer for you pammie
Continuing in prayer for both of you. I haven't taken tarceva. How soon will they do another scan to see if it is helping? Sure praying it will help a lot. pammie
Nancy, will be praying for you and your grandson. Hard to take care of someone else when you feel bad. Praying for the pain to be diagnosed and gotten rid of. pammie
Kurt, thank you so very much for keeping us updated on Beth. She has certainly had a hard time of it lately. Will continue in prayer for her and you. pammie
will be praying for your mom Vanessa. Sounds pretty wild. Some people are wonderful and some are not. Sorry you are having to deal with the "nots". Hope your mom gets better very quickly. pammie
