    A Daughter's Gift

  10. So glad Rochelle that you continue to post on this forum. So many can identify with what you are going through. As someone suggested it would be a blessing for you to be able to talk with or counsel with someone. Know your brothers are hurting too. Maybe as a family you could talk with a minister or priest about some of your worries. Will be praying for all of you. pammie
  11. I too like Dr. West's common sense responses. Swelling in the brain appears to be one of the biggest problems to deal with, thus the steroids. Am working on getting off steroids for my fourth brain met. My daughter is 28 also and I want to be around for her and the other kids and grand children for quite some time, Forget the numbers and fight this with your mom. Your support will be priceless for her. God bless you and family. prayers for you all. pammie

  17. Get a tag. I have one and had to get a form filled out from a doc first but the MVD was very cooperative. You can get the kind that hangs from the mirror or a license plate. Either is so helpful for days of not feeling well. If you feel well park and walk.praying you will have healing. pammie

    Brain Mets

Had my fourth brain tumor in a year zappped last Friday. Doing well at this point. The group of oncs we see discuss case by case. My main onc is interested in me doing WBR but the others have not wanted to do that yet. The neurosurgeon said if there was a "flurry of activity" we might consider it. I asked him to define flurry of activity. He said four mets popping up in a short amount of time. It apppears people seem to tolerate gamma and cyberknife quite well if the swelling and necrosis can be controlled. Lubbbock is getting a gammma knife installed this month (Dec) so we are very excited about that development. Seems we are so very very blessed in this country. We don't have to wait for months for treatment, testing or surgery. We all have struggles in this world but the blessings from God are too many to count. pammie
