Tomorrow is the 4 year anniversary of discovering I had NSCLC. 10/2/03 (I share this anniversary date with someone slightly more famous--Lance Armstrong). I am still here and ready for another 4+years of survivorship....Joe B

Thanks everyone....Its kinda weird to see yourself on video and know it's on the world wide web. The amazing thing for me is that standing in front of 1,000 men telling my story without any preparation--- I wasn't nervous at all. One of the things cancer has done for me; is that in facing the prospect of death in a real sense several times and then thinking about my mortality on a daily basis.....I do not fear public speaking at all; It seems so trivial....... the rash usually peaks about 2-4 weeks and then gradually subsides. a combination of the anti-biotic mynocycline 100mg a day, and a 1% clindamycin gel (topical to the affected area) can have miraculous effects.

My Brother Charlie is living his dream.... riding his bicycle from his condo in Marco Island, FL to his residence in Gaylord MI. A total of 2,200 miles. He has to average 80 miles a day to make it back for his daughters (my niece Andrea) HS graduation. He has been peddling for 12 days and is almost half way there.
