Mike has recently started Tarceva. When he first started , he got a rash on the 3rd day and on the 5th it became really pronounced... in fact he was taken off of 150 mg... waited 2 weeks and just started again 5 days ago on 100mg. His rash started to appear on day 3 again and now on day 5 it pretty much covers his entire chest, back , head, face etc. It's not as bad , but he definitely has the rash. The good news is that he feels good, has a good appetite and no other symptoms so far. Sue

Millie, I'm sorry to hear your mom is having such a rough time. Mike had the shingles too. He also had pneumonitis before that. He had a long spell of being weak and many problems. I didn't think he would bounce back , but he has. I will keep your mom in my prayers . Hopefully, she will be feeling better soon. Sue

I'm probably the only one on the board that has only lived in one city, one state.. Norfolk, Virginia for all of my 57 years and only visited Florida and North Carolina. Have passed through Georgia and South Carolina. All of Mike's family and mine live in this city. Guess this is unheard of , but I think we invented the term "homebodies". Sue

Wishing your mom well on Tarceva. Mike just got started on it at a lower dose a couple days ago. His initial start at 150mg proved to be too strong for him. He had a severe rash within only a few days. Will be keeping my eye on you . There are a lot of good report here about Tarceva. Lots of luck and prayers. Sue
