Heather_T Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Congradulations for taking that big step!!!!!!!!It is one of the hardest things I have ever done. It will be 3 months for me on Jan. 6. I loved to smoke! but my life with my kids is much more important to me. Good luck. Heather_T Quote
marym Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Congratulations. Not only is the habit yucky..it costs a lot of money! Now when tempted to slide (I've been told nicotine is as hard to quit as heroin.) just remember how hard it was to get to here - you don't want to have to go through that again! Good luck. Mary Quote
Muriel Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Congratulations! Each day will get better. Muriel Quote
ernrol Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Kevin, If you smoked a pack a day, take the three dollars or whatever a pack cost and put it in a clear jar. You will be surprised how fast it grows. Then take that money and do something nice with it. You will find that the satisfaction you get is great. Stay positive, Ernie Quote
mary colleen Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 You're a long way in to this now - I'm impressed. Quote
Bev'sSister Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Kevin, I will officially be quit for 3 days at 7:00 pm this evening. It has had its rough spots, but overall, not as bad as I thought. I think last night was the worst, and that was because I was just watching TV (LSU-Notre-Dame game) instead of doing something with my hands. Anyway, just wanted to say good luck to you. Are you using anything? I am on the patch. Quote
nonni Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Kevin....GOOD JOB!!!!...the worst is over...one day at a time...8 yrs for me in May....cold turkey too...was tuff but I made it and so will you... Be proud of yourself and good luck...you can do it... PamS. Quote
