SandraL
I am scheduled to have the bone cement procedure on my spine. I have been waiting for this for a very long time. I was fairly mobile and active over xmas but must have overdone it because since then I have gone way downhill. My pain has increased and I am able to do little. This has had an impact on my emotional outlook for sure. My doctor says this procedure should provide me with almost instant pain relief. It will deaden troublesome nerve endings, stabilize my back and kill any cancer cells in the area. I have had back pain since last Feb and feel well overdue for some relief. Yes, I am whiny! I am going in next Tues morning and will be kept overnight for observation. Here's a link Ned found with pictures of the procedure: http://www.bonecement.com/index.php?id=15135 Wish me luck and pain relief!
