RAY A
Hello my brothers and sisters. I’m back!! I would be lying if I said I didn’t peek in now and then. It’s like an addiction. Just would like to share that I have finished my chemo (3 weeks on one week off total of 6 months) I got a certificate and all. I’m due to get PET scan and CT scan in about a week and then Doc visit after that to see where I stand. At first I was getting a little upset about stopping chemo after 6 cycles but now that’s its over I’m looking forward to getting back to normal. The next plan of attack is Irissa to maintain what’s left for as long as we can. Doc hopes one to two years or more and than if it stops working than we can do chemo again. One more thing…GOODBYE 2003 it had to be the worst year I have ever had. I pray 2004 brings heath to everyone.
norme
It's about time you got back. I started to post a note to you yesterday to see how you were doing but let it slip by. Glad to hear from you again. I know it is like an addiction. Strange what one gets addicted to. I guess we are lucky it is just this...... Hebbie
Ray, Welcome Back! I've been thinking about you!! Congrats on the chemo certificate -- I've got one of my own from HUP (Claire was my favorite chemo nurse!). I like Doc S's plan of attack -- sounds like a good one! I echo your sentiments and pray for a happier 2004 for us all! ps -- nice looking family you've got there!!! Take care, Heather
john
Glad you are back. Hope the chemo took care of everything. One thing you might want to ask the doctor about is CI-1033. It is like Iressa, but it targets 4 growth factors instead of just the one that Iressa Targets. It is called a pan ErbB inhibitor. There are four ErbB growth factors. Iress targets one, but the new drug targets all four. It is not approved yet, but maybe you can get into the trial Best of luck with your treatments
Nancy O.
Hey Ray. Been thinking about you a lot lately also. I am happy that you are back and was wondering if you were still lurking. I know I would be. It's a good thing this addiction. Nancy O.

I echo your sentiments about 2004 being a good and healthy year for us all. My 'worst' year was 2000. Glad to see that one gone too. And to all our friends here... who are more like extended family... I wish you all peace and strength in this new year to come. Bless you all, each and every one.
