    Need to Talk.....

Ann I KNOW that you are NOT losing your mind. I have had so many 'little' things like that happen to me. I was afraid to tell people for fear that they would truly think I was nuts. I will PM you later when I have more time and tell you about it. God Bless you and Happy Thanksgiving.
  6. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I pray that God give you and your family strength during this difficult time. Carol
  7. Congratulations now and for the many years to come.
  8. I have a nodule in my left lung that has been there all of the time. On my last PET scan it decided to light up. My surgeon would not do surgery until he found out exactly what it was. Connie B told me not to worry about it and that it was probably scar tissue. I told the surgeon what she said and he said that was quite possible, BUT he had me to have a biopsy on it anyway. My oncologist and radiologist both thought that it was scar tissue, but hey they were not doing the surgery. The biospy showed the nodule to be scar tissue, so I was able to have my surgery and am currently NED. So I know for sure that those nodules do not have to be bad news. The oncologists have experience with these things and when they are not overly concerned about them I think that is a good thing. Connie B. thank you so very much. I learned to think positive and believe here at this site. I hope that I can offer encouragement to someone else.
  9. Have a wonderful and Blessed Thanksgiving. Carol
  10. I truly say Amen. It was the Sunday after Thanksgiving last year that I first coughed up blood which was the beginning of my journey with NSCLC. I am thankful to be here THIS THANKSGIVING with NED to tell you all that. I thank each of you for the support and kindness that you have given to me on this journey. May God Bless you all. Thank you.

  18. Please forgive my ignorance. What is the prednisone for? I see from your signature that you are NED which is WONDERFUL! I was told that prednisone was a steroid. I did not realize that I had been given steroids in my IV medication when I had chemo. Now I know why I have all of this weight on me. How long does it take to get rid of the weight. I have not had chemo since September 1st.
