I planted rhubarb this spring also and it is doing great. As a kid I would just pick a stalk and eat it but the thought of doing that now curls my toenails. My wife loves rhubarb pie and that is why I planted it.

Hi everyone,I havent posted here for awhile so I quess today is the day even tho not much new here, Finally starting to reap a few awards from my garden. Getting plenty of tomatos and cucumbers and the sweet peppers are starting to fill in nicely. I hate to be like our former vice president but does tomato have an e on the end or not? My wife tells me I do a great job of butchering the english language. Are there any other gardeners out there? Hope you all have a nice weekend and for those of you still going thru chemo and treatment my prayers are with you.

Im sorry for the loss of your dog Lily. Its amazing how we bond with our dogs and vice versa. I stopped by my sisters the other night who works at a assissted living faculity. She had a new dog there and I asked where she got it. It seems the owner passed away last week and had no close relatives. This dog was his closest companion for the last nine years. But you could just see the heartbreak in this little dogs eyes. I felt so sorry for him.

Sorry about your mother's diagnosis. Prayer said for a successful treatment with good results.

Good morning everyone. I hope you all have a nice day. Judy,I hope you enjoy your trip. Im not much of a traveler myself. Exspecially if it involves big cities. Growing up in small town Midwest, city driving makes me a bundle of nerves. I grip the steering wheel so tight my palms are sweating and I always make sure the radio is shut off. I also prefer if anyone else in the car keeps their mouth shut unless its really important. Dont need any distractions when Im in my parnoia,neurotic state of mind.

I also caught the tailend of the same on my local news a couple of weeks ago. I was hoping I heard it correctly.Thanks for posting Maryanne.

It is highway 1 outside Key West Judy. They said the shallow blue water causes the sun glare. Also during hurricane season it says it is the only highway out and gets very conjested.My grandson is outside mowing.Hes been trying to find a few yards to mow to make some money this summer. I wish I had some of his energy.
