Since they removed my right lung my wife isn't to keen on making love. She said my breathing gets so heavy she does't know if I'm coming or going. Just joking,hope I didn't offend anyone.

Hi everyone,Welcome back Judy! Heidi I hope you get to doing better soon but in the meantime enjoy people watching after you. Its to cold here for fishing yet Bud but I have a brother who fishes year round. My grandson had a very close call last Sunday. We have a small city park here in town with a small lake in it. My grandson and his friend decided to take a shortcut across the lake on the ice.About a fourth of the way out they fell thru the ice.They could not get out of the 20 foot deep water because the ice just kept breaking off. Fortunatly 2 teenage girls walking the track heard their screams and called 911 on their cell phone. After about 4 attempts with a rope they finally got pulled in.They had been in the water about 15 minutes and were already going into hyperthermia. It was just getting dark and at his time of year not many people go to the park. I told my grandson they must of had a good guardian angel watching over them. No more will I cuss cell phones.

Clear nodes and margins sound like wonderful news! You say a x-ray every 6 months.I wonder if they will follow up with a yearly ct scan. I also had 4 rounds of chemo following surgery with no regrets. Your oncologist is probably right on the money in what he is doing but you might want to jump over to cancer Grace and ask one of the good docs if this is what their procedure would be with your stage and surgery outcome. Anyway it sounds like wonderful news Melanie. Im very happy for you!

Hi everyone. Living here in Nebraska when I hear of hopping a ferry or subway sounds neat. I think the trolley cars in San Fransisco sound neat also. Judy, I have never been to Florida so this question may seem silly but are there bridges that connect all the Key islands? Can you drive from your home to the mainland? I havent traveled much in my life. I have been to California going west and to Canada going north but south and east I havent been far at all. Have a nice Sunday everyone.

Talkin about funk again huh? Back in the days of AM radio and songs like Louie Louie where you always thought you heard something on the radio that got past the djs. There was a song called Rambling 000 Man by Bob Seger and a line in it that said (You can have your funky world.) Of course I mistakenly heard the word funky as another well known F word and thought I had discovered a real big one that got past all the Djs. What a let down when I found out he sang funky world instead of(well you know).

Katie,I have always heard that God works thru people helping people. With that said (You are a God sent)!

My last two yearly scans were without contrast. Even if they did detect something early on I dont think surgery would be an option for me. Where if they caught a small spot on one of yours they may be able to cut it out before it would progress. I heard contrast helps pick up early spots better. You might ask I did notice a price differance between with and without.

I slept like a rock last night. I was gonna get up and go to daily mass this morning but overslept. Judy, I hope you are out of your funk. Ever since you made that post I have that word imprinted on my mind. Its a good way to describe some days. No big plans for the day. Its supposed to be frezzing drizzle here all day so I think I will stay off the hiway. Hope you all have a nice day.

We have had a nice little warm up here.Been in the 40s the last few days and supposed to be in low 50s this weekend.I have found some coke a cola in the glass bottles that I have been drinking. Seems to taste better in glass bottles. I wish they would start making it in returnable bottles again because it is expensive the way I buy it now. I would think returnable bottles would be a good thing to go back to anyway. I remember as a kid everyone had a milk box and if they wanted milk they would put their emptys in there and when the milkman came he would replace them with full ones. I quess Im just jibbering. Have a nice weekend everyone.

Hi Christie, I hope they get that figured out soon.I remember after my first surgery I was supposed to start chemo but they had to redo the surgery because of bleeding. I was also worried it would be to late to start the treatments but they started them anyway about a month late.Hopefully you will get cleared up and get your chemo started. Even if its late I would still go for it if offered.
