    Love

thank you Don. 1 Corithians 13 is the most beautiful explanation of "Agape" (unconditional) love found in the bible. It is God's own description of love to us..... For those out there without access to a bible... here it is... 1 Corinthians 13 1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
  8. I KNOW YOUR NAME-- sung by Michael W Smith Album: Live the Life Who is the you that no one else can see? In your heart, a lonely one afraid to be Lost again, need a friend You hide your soul to keep the hurt inside All alone, your tears call out into the night Is He there? does He care ? Chorus Yes, I know your name Every prayer you pray I'm the One Who brought you to this place The Voice Who sings to you The Hand that clings to you Oh My child, I've always known your name... known your name I hold you close to me, close to heart And this kind of love will find you anywhere you are Never fear, I am here Yes, I know your name Every prayer you pray I'm the One Who brought you to this place The Voice Who sings to you The Hand that clings to you Oh My child, I've always known your name... known your name Never fear, I am here ________________________________________________________ Luke 12:6- 12:8 KJV Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

  15. Boy can I relate. my last CT scan (1/11/05) indicated a 4mm (roughly 1/8 of an inch) nodule (that has been present on film for 9 months- but this is the first time it was noted on a report by a radiologist) of "indeterminant" nature. Doc thinks it a small piece of scarring. Also, a 2mm spot (1/16 of an inch) on my liver that has been there since they statred doing teh scans that he thinks is a small cyst. Needless to say, my wife and Onc think that it is likely "nothing to worry about", and I cant stopped ruminating on the "what if's" This helps put it in perspective. Joe B

    thoughts and gifts

Curtis is right the holiday was originally a pagan holiday (Sun God), and the church (catholic) decided to use the season as a way to celebrate Christs birth. My recollection is that Christ Jesus was born in the spring (based on when Roman census was done at that time in history) There are many secular customs around Christmas today... and it has become very materialistic, however, it is a tim e that some reflect on the birth of our Lord and savior... and that is a good thing. just a quick FYI

We have moved out of our home and are now living in a rental house until the new house is completed (end of the year ??? we hope!) We do not have internet access until we get into the new place... so I will only be checking in on things occassionally (I am at a public library right now). Take care everyone and God Bless ! "praying for us all" Joe B
  24. Depends on the situation. In my case they thought I was stage 1. When the path report came back after surgery with a positive lymph node, I was staged to IIIA and then went through concurrent chemo & radiation.
