I have been feeling sorry for myself as well.. Ive been an emotional wreck and miss my dad..When I read your post yesterday Katie, I was too involved in my self to reach out, I couldnt let this one get by though..You have so made a difference, this website and the whole cancer journey has changed my heart forever, and it is because of you and Rick... I am sorry I wasnt there for you yesterday..XO

Shelly, They put my dad on it and it did the same to him, about 12 hours after they put him on it he ended up in ICU, and well you know the rest of the story... Now I dont want to alarm you but I feel I have to tell you what I found out after my dad passed, I was on a mission to find out all the side effects of this narcotic, during my research I found out that it should not be given to someone with respiratory problems, so please beware, I still cant figure out why they gave it to him, he was on oxygen as well. I really think they messed up....

Oh Berisa, I am so sorry you and your family have to go through this. I am praying that God does what is best for your dad..((((BERISA)))))

Lily, I cant say I know your pain, but I understand that it is soo very painful. I see my mom every day since she has been home from Florida and she is not getting better at all, as a matter of fact she is worse.. She says she doesnt care if she dies tomorrow and I believe her, my fear is she will die of a broken heart...All I can say is I am sorry for her for you, Shirley, Norme and all that have lost their true loves...Praying that somehow you can all find peace..XO

Dear Andrea, I knew your mom was a beautiful person by her sweet face. Iknow I have said that before but just by looking at her I could see everything you wrote about her. Since I have lost my dad I strive daily to be like him, even though I have a long way to go to ever compare to him he was the male version of your mom. I just wanted you to know from way back in the beginning when you were new here I could tell you have many of her traits and I hope that brings you some comfort...

Francine, I was sooo happy when I was reading about all your good news and sooo sorry that you are experiencing so much nausea and all those side effects... I remember how bad you were feeling when you were receiving treatment, gosh I hope you start to feel better soon...(((((FRANCINE))))))

That is not right. You should not be going through all this. When we put my dad in hospice we were toldif we were not happy we could take him out of the program. Fortunately I have a friend who use to work for a hospice program and told me that the best ones to go through were recommended from the hospital..Their first question to me was what do you want for your dad? They were the most compassionate people I have ever met, although my dear father only lasted a couple hours into the program. I also had an aunt that was in hospice and they were wonderful as well.. One thing I remember about my dad was they told us if he ever made it home we were mostly responsible for his care. If I am not mistaken the hospital was not responsible for him once we put him in the program.. I am so sorry you have to go through this..
