I love Addie's Addietude , as well. Go get em Addie and thank you for giving the best part of yourself to us. And... Maryanne, a "Pat" on the back is sooo cute.. I love it. Thanks Brat for sharing your thoughts. (((Hugs))), Sue
  4. No need to apologize Nina. You have my prayers always. Will be keeping my eye out for the results in June. First 6 days of June will be eventful for us, as well. God Bless. Love and prayers, Sue
  5. Beth, Thanks for sharing your email from Karen. Karen, I want you to know that you , David, Faith, your mom and your family are in my prayers. I don't think I could even begin to do all that you are trying to do right now. Sure hope you can get the property sold and in a new home soon. Just that alone would be an overwhelming stressful situation . If you can find the time, I hope you will give us some intermediate updates. We love you guys and we care. God Bless you all. Love and prayers, Sue
  6. Wishing you a wonderful time with your dad. Love and Prayers, Sue
  7. Oh my goodness Beth. So, that's what all that uncontrolled nausea was about. Sure hope all of this is taken care of soon. You sure didn't need this. This is kind of ironic, but Mike's last scan showed a possible gallstone.. lol no symptoms yet, guess time will tell. Somehow, it just doesn't seem fair, but then who said any of this was fair. Take care kid. We have our eye on you and keep you in our prayers. Love and prayers, Sue
  8. Thank you Connie for all that you do . Your wisdom, your love and your kindess is so much appreciated. Love, Sue
  9. Tammy, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Thank you for your prayers and know that we hope you will stay on with this group. There are many here that have lost family members that continue to be supportive of one another and of the rest of us , as well. We are so thankful for everyone in this group. May God be with you and your family and give you strength to get through the days ahead Love and Prayers, Sue
  10. Welcome Sues, We are so glad you decided to join us. I can tell you that when my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer I didn't know about this group , but I'm so glad I have them now. If it's information , support , hugs or prayers you want, it's all here. You can sprinkle in some laughs and lots and lots of hope and you've got this family. Make yourself at home and know that we are all here to help one another. Love and prayers, Sue
  11. Mark, Welcome to our family. I'm sorry you have to be here, but I want you to know that you have found the best support group on the net. You will find a lot of information, support and prayers offered here. Mostly you will find a wonderful group of warriors and survivors. Folks around here refuse to sit back and be victims. Post whenever you would like to and know that we are here for you. God Bless, Sue
  12. (((Hugs Val)))), You have every reason to be feeling down. Sometimes, our emotions just fill us to the brim and we have to spill over somewhere. I can relate to that. Been having one of those days myself. You did the best thing you can, you came here. I would imagine that there's not one person on this board that can't relate to some of the depression and sadness you are feeling . What we do is what you are doing... we vent to people who love and understand us... then we look around at the positives.. mom's walker... carolyns giggle etc. and we try to put together a better tomorrow. It's not easy , but what other choice do we have but to make the best of this... I think I'm giving myself a pep talk here, as well . Val, know that my prayers go out to you and your family. I really care and I understand. God Bless you. Love and prayers, Sue
  13. Frank, I can't begin to tell you how I felt when I read your post. You and your lovely wife Connie are such an inspiration to me. I feel saddened knowing that there's nothing they can do for you right now, but I feel blessed to know someone with your inner strength, attitude and determination. We will all pray that the fat lady doesn't find you for a very very long time indeed. Sending love and prayers to you and your family. Sue
  14. Hi missy K and welcome to our family. I'm sorry you have to be here too. None of us want to be here , but we are thankful to have this wonderful place to come. My husband has nsclc, but there are many here with sclc. If you have specific questions , I know they will be glad to help. You will notice that there is a separate forum for sclc also. You might want to post questions there and also read there to learn about other members with the same profile. For now, I just want to say that my prayers go out to you and your mom. Sue
  15. Continued prayers for you and your mom . Take care of yourself Andrea. Love and prayers, Sue
  16. Nina, We all understand your nervousness. Just remember that the oncologist would be negligent not to order those scans in view of your concerns. Never worry about being hoggish. You ask away. You are such a beautiful person and so supportive of others plus remember you are helping us by sharing your experiences. Mostly we want you to share because we care about you. You are in my prayers . I'm praying that the scan shows everything to be negative and normal. Will be looking for your update. Love, Sue
  17. Nancy, I've been looking for this post. I am so very very happy for you and your family. God Bless your dear Mike, it sounds like he gave it his all for all of you. I pray he continues to strengthen. Love and Prayers, Sue
  18. Peggy, Glad to hear about the cyst. Hope your son continues to improve, also. As for hubby, the time to do things that give he and you pleasure will be wonderful. My hubby had to leave his job at the beginning of his recurrence and never go back. We have spent a lot of quality time together. Sometimes, he is bored, but he has learned to adjust and be thankful for every sunrise.. Know that you aren't waiting for those scan results alone. We are right there with you. God Bless you and your family. Love and Prayers, Sue
  19. Oh Beth, I'm so sorry to hear that. It seems you have been doing so well with the Alimta. Hopefully the nausea means it's working. Charlie D. has nausea with it too. Remember Git er done!!! Trying to think positive thoughts. You deserve them all. Take care and take the time you need. Let us know later how you are. Love & prayers, Sue
  20. Thanks Ginny . Betty, I hope you feel the love and prayers coming your way. You've left footprints on a lot of hearts. We are there with you. God Bless . Love & prayers, Sue
  21. Cathy , You have such courage and you really are an inspiration to me. I just want you to know that. Have a wonderful time with your kids. I just know you will and you will be feeling good about yourself too. God Bless you. (((Hugs))), Sue
  22. Kris, I'll have to read about them.. I've heard this before. We have a friend that brings my husband Elderberry jelly. She is a 4 year cancer survivor herself. Anyhow, she actually orders this jelly, by the case because the stores don't seem to stock it. There must be some truth to this berry thing. Sue
  23. Nancy, Just wanted to let you know that you , Mike and your family are in my prayers. I hope everything works out perfectly tonight and tomorrow for all of you. God Bless you, Sue
  24. It's good to know you are home now Rick. Take care of yourself. Prayers coming your way. Sue
