  4. (((Chris))), I'm just so sorry about the loss of your friend. I am at a loss for words and my heart is breaking for you. Know that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and you can write me anytime. Hugs, Sue
  5. This news makes my day brighter. Take the time you need , Chris . We will be here . In the meantime, I''ll just have to send you a virtual hug and maybe some flowers on Facebook. Hugs, Sue
  6. (((Dar))), Everyone experiences grief in a different way and at a different pace. I know for me, it has been a very long , drawn out and complicated process. Just when I think I'm getting better I have a day where I just cry all day... that's after 2 years. It just goes deep and tends to surface in degrees. At least, that's how it is for me. Be gentle with yourself, you're going through so much. Hugs, sue
  7. Ginny, That's heartbreaking. There must be a reason so many young people are being diagnosed with lung cancer. It's so scary . Sue
  8. Cyndy, Thanks for always finding the fun things for us to do. Sue
  9. (((Chris))), As one who has always appreciated you and would miss you terribly if you left, I am very sad to read this . I can't imagine why anyone would think that you didn't belong. This is a place for everyone who has had their lives touched by lung cancer whether it be friend, family, or yourself who is the patient. You have been deeply affected by the loss of a personal friend, a family member and now many friends on this board. Yes, you have many friends here and always will. Hope you will reconsider . Will be writing to you later. We have a bad storm here and I have to get off line. Love and Hugs, Sue
  10. Yes, I remember him too and I'm very happy for him. It's always good to hear that our members are happy and doing well in their lives. Sue
  11. (((Teri))), Thank you for sharing your thoughts . I can relate to so much of what you say and it helps to know that I'm not alone in how I feel. I am forever asking myself "is this normal?" When people, such as yourself express their their thoughts and feelings so well, it's very therapeutic for people like me. I hope it helps you as well. Hugs, Sue
  12. Deb, I am so very sorry you have lost Dave. Please don't second guess the decisions you made. I'm sure you did what you thought was right at the time. No two cases of lung cancer are the same and it would be impossible to know if things would have been different. I'm just so sorry Dave suffered as he did, but I know it is a comfort to you to know that he is no longer in pain. The coming days may not be so easy , but we will be here to lend an understanding ear and friendship. God Bless, Sue

  19. Denise, I don't know about Tom, but I know the 3rd day after chemo is when Mike always seemed to drop like a rock . It was especially noticible if he was on dexamethasone too because you get the drop from sterioid withdrawl. Mike's would always be at it's worst a couple days and then get a bit better. Chemos also have an accumulative effect. Tom is such a fighter.. bless his heart and yours too. Sure hope he feels better and in time to enjoy the weekend. Hugs, Sue
  20. Gail, I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you and know that we will be here for you in the days ahead. Hugs, Sue

(((Chris))), I am so very sorry. My heart goes out to you , your mom and your family. I know your mom must be totally traumatized .
