  11. Leslie, My heart goes out to you. I so remember "those" days the first year around. No one can know exactly what you feel , but many of us can very well try to imagine, based on our own heartbreaking experiences. I like to think that reliving these days is part of the healing process. Hugs and God Bless, Sue
  12. Sandra, Glad you had it checked out . I too have had blood in urine from bladder infections. My mom has it from kidney stones. There are many reasons and I'm glad that yours is treatable.. Sue
  13. (((Val))), I found the words of your youth pastor to be very cold, calloused and unknowing. I resent people who "don't have a clue" telling others how they should just accept it, get over it and move on. Her reference to her mom being "alive and kicking" was cold. When her mom passes will she say "my mom is no longer alive and kicking" so I'm moving on now?GRRRR Oh Val, this one makes me see red. I'm sorry to get carried away like this , but there is no wonder, in my mind, as to why you found this hard to accept. Furthermore, no two people have the same bonds with their friends and loved ones. No one should stand in judgement of others... I have had similar things said to me and it hurt me. Many of us here do understand. If you are too easily offended then so am I. Sue
  14. Barb, me again. Here's some good information and they describe the pain for adults as worse than childbirth and 10-20 days recovery... yiiiikes no picnic here. Hope it's not that bad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonsillectomy
  15. Barb, I would have to agree with Connie B. Find out more about the risks involved in the surgery as an adult.. I , too, have heard that it is rather risky for adults, especially older adults. Gosh, my experience was to have mine out twice . I had them out at 5 years and 8 years and the docs say I still have a little bit.. Think it's my narrow throat which made it hard for them to work. Anyhow, I would certainly research the risks before seriously considering it. Sue
  16. Grateful for all our "family" here. Sue

  21. "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby Mcferrin
  22. Get Well Soon, Katie!!! Lots of Love and prayers headed your way. Love, Sue
  23. I quit 5 years ago and got all the information and support I needed through whyquit.com... They have a support group listed on there... FreedomFromTobacco.... Please check it out. It's about Cold Turkey Quitting. It may not always be easy , but it is truly as simple as never taking another puff. You can do it. Chantix scares me . There are articles there about the horrible side effects and suicidal tendencies people have with that. Anyhow, I would suggest you go there and read what they have to offer. It sure helped me. Good Luck.. You can do it. Sue
