norme Posted January 31, 2004 Share Posted January 31, 2004 Just a note to let you all know I am thinking of each and everyone of you each day and wish I could post more but this computer is in the back bedroom and I cannot be out of Buddy's sight for more then a few minutes. When he sleeps, I sleep, for must keep up the energy when he is awake. The days are getting harder. His left arm is not longer in service and his left leg is somewhat dragging but still working a little. He no sooner gets in one position then he wants to be moved again to another, like from the bed to a chair to the couch to the potty, etc. A friend of mine said her brother did this very same thing. He to passed away with lc a few months back. When Buddy is sleeping he seems at peace. He no longer is eating anything. Had to take him off of the Iressa for the diarrhea was to bad for his condition plus was afraid it would keep him in this terrible state longer. Our son, plus the Dr and hospice nurse agreed. I now have all this very expensive Iressa meds and have a very guilty feeling knowing there is probably someone who could use it and it just sits. I still have this very faint hope that he will awake and be able to be back on it but down deep I know this is never going to happen. We are thinking of you and praying for you and your dear Buddy. God is always with you & yours during this trying time, sweet woman, I know it. (Maybe someone here could use the Iressa pills? TBone Posted February 1, 2004 Share Posted February 1, 2004 HI Norme, I am so sorry to hear that Buddy is not doing well.I really appreciate the love,concern and prayers that you two have sent my way in the short time I have been here.It has had a tremendous impact on both me and my family.We had a get together in the woods today.Sat around a fire and ate chili and talked and it was wonderful.My siblings were there along with some old friends that I had lost contact with over the years.We discussed this message board and its impact on us.An old buddy is doing chemo for colon cancer now and he plans on checking in on this message board as a guest just to share in the support that we all talked about today.I had printed a few posts and replies and he was really impressed.I know this site is geared to lung cancer survivors but I feel that it could be just as helpful to anyone that is struggling with this disease.It is a wealth of information as well.I understand if you are not able to post as often as before but please do as you can.I love you both and you are in my prayers.TBone Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
